The situation: I'm running Android 2.3.5 on my phone, using the Google Maps app version 6.14.4. Via the desktop, I've created a map with custom directions from Point A to Point B.
The problem: I can't find a way to get the map with the edited directions to my phone. I can save the map with the directions to a Google account, which normally would mean that I could log into that Google account on my phone and download it that way. However, I don't have the necessary software on my phone that will enable me to log into a Google account. "Account and Sync settings" is missing. I can't seem to edit directions from within the Google Maps app on my phone, either.

I need to slap together a website FAST that contains a map and a (sortable? filterable?) list of Wisconsin-related protest/rally events. I'd really, really like it if people could enter their own events and they'd show up on the map without a lot of intervention on my part.

I want to create a map, marking every town I've ever been to on my travels around Australia and the world. I have a pin-board at home where I've done this, but it would be cool to create an online version. In this Web 2.oh world, what's the best Google Maps hack to use to achieve this? Note that I don't want to write the code to do this through the API myself - I'm just looking for a site that lets me easily place markers on my own personal Google Map, and associate some very basic information with each marker.

Google Map satellite imagery filter: On Google maps, why does the state of Indiana seem to be so entirely scanned at highest resolution, when just about every other "place" on the map seems to just have high resolution scanning in heavily populated areas? What makes Hoosiers so special (to Google Maps, anyways)?
