I took out an advertising package with Apartments.com. This is no cheap proposition, at $2,000 for 500,000 impressions. I wasn't expecting much out of this, but was hoping for at least the 0.05% the apartments.com rep claimed was their average, considering that our company is in the moving industry and has some impressive accolades under our belt all mentioned in our ad.
50,000 impressions in and my apartments.com contact claims there've been 18 clicks (0.03% CTR). However I only see 6 originating from apartments.com, 2 of which were just me testing out the ad.

According to Posterous, I have had around 2,000 hits on a website I am working on in the last 32 days. According to Google
Analytics, I have had exactly 125. What gives and what's reliable? Also, can anyone recommend a good book or website about fully utilizing
Analytics?

Google Analytics: my absolute unique visitor (AUV) trend is upwards, growing fast and in absolute terms is MUCH higher than the same period in March. But when I compare 2 weeks of April with 2 weeks of March I see a negative trend for April.

Google Analytics Question: Over a five month period, it's telling me I've had about 300 visitors who have read my site between 9 and 100 times.
I realize this is small potatoes in the World O' Blogs, but it seems entirely too high to me. Please explain how Google thinks 20 semi-loyal visitors (my estimate) is 300. Surely they are mostly bots?

I've had it with the endless stream of __utma/b/c/z cookies spewed forth by Google Analytics from every website on the planet. Is there a Firefox extension that will block them, perhaps based on the NAME being "__utm*"? I'm tempted to pay someone to create such an extension ...
