Should I screw nightschool?

I am going to see Bruce Springsteen in Giants Stadium on October 8th and want to know if there have been any opening acts on the "Working on a Dream" tour... I'm trying to get my schedule for this day set and wanted to know if it would be OK to get there at 8:30, even though the tickets list the showtime as 7:30 and the stadium opens at 6. Any input appreciated! Thanks!

In search of a cleft-footed Giant

Baseball Trivia Filter (really, really trivial): A couple weeks ago, during the LA broadcast of the Dodgers-Giants game, Vin Scully mentioned that one of the Giants' players ran very well considering that he had been born with a cleft-foot. My Google-Fu has failed me. Can anyone tell me who this cleft-footed athlete is?

Help me make a They Might Be Giants mixtape.

Help me make a They Might Be Giants mixtape. Dear Hive,

We all love Flood, Lincoln, and Apollo 18. I've found newer albums a mixed bag. I liked some songs on John Henry, but by Factory Showroom, I gave up.

Now the boy and I love Here Come the ABC's.

Looking at reviews, it seems that there are some great, catchy, quirky songs on newer albums. Please recommend songs for a post-Apollo 18 TMBG mixtape.

Help Me Find this Hat!

[Hatfilter] I'm trying to find the Giants hat Tom Coughlin was wearing during Super Bowl XLII. It is standard Giants blue with the white "ny" logo on the front, but it had the SBXLII logo on the side. I saw it at Modells before the big game, but I failed to purchase it then. I've had not luck hunting it down in-store (Modells, Reebok, Lids, Champs, etc) and my google-fu is failing me online as well.

Help me find this hat!

Irish song played during sporting events

I'm looking for an irish/punk-sounding song that often gets played on TV during sporting events. It was played multiple times during the Patriots-Giants game (usually right before commercial breaks) the other day, and I just heard it during the Winter Classic Hockey game too. Best-guess description of how it goes after the jump. Ok, so it sounds like this: Boom-Boom dee-dee-deedle-e-dum, Boom-Boom dee-dee-deedle-e-dee, Boom-Boom dee-dee-deedle-e-dee dee deedle dee dum dee dee dee.
[Where the Booms are drum beats (bass drum, I think?) and the deedles are a fiddle/violin/other string instrument, I think (sorry, not a musician)]

Thanks in advance for any help.

Is there great parking near AT&T park?

Is there a super secret low or no cost parking alternative to the stadium lots at AT&T park? I'm going to tomorrow night's Giants game and would love a place to park that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and that isn't miles away.

I usually park for free around intersection at 16th St & 3rd St. The free part is awesome, but the walk is killer. I'll be running a little late getting to the game after work and would rather avoid the hike; however, I refuse to pay $30 for the privilege.

I know there is a MUNI stop right by the ballpark, but alas, I don't work in the city and there isn't a stop anywhere near my home or office. And, again, time is of the essence.

Sure, it's a long shot, but I can't help but dream. Is there a great, cheaper place to park either around the ballpark or within a few MUNI stops thereof?
