Clever, low-stress, RSI-friendly, eyecandy puzzle-adventure type games?

Need moar gamez, plz hope! (for Mac or iPad.) I love Myst-type, atmospheric, "wander around beautifully illustrated worlds and solve puzzles" type games, especially with at least a little narrative quality, and want to avoid timed segments (do this within a timed period or fail), explicit / realistic violence (I don't really want to be killing things or wandering around bloody rooms, etc.), or games where advancement hinges on say, physically jumping from one thing to another thing in just the right way, at the right speed, etc. Specifically, I don't want to have to do much or any repetitive clicking/tapping movements, because ouch. Monkey pull lever, monkey get what?

Many years ago, I used to play a game on my elderly Mac called "Enigma", by Freeverse. Not the modern Oxyd clone, but a version of Mastermind, where you had to deduce a pattern of colored dots given a certain number of hints. You put in your guess and pulled a lever; the game would taunt you, make weird comments, or throw a monkey wrench into things and screw up your guesses. The premise of the game was that you were solving the puzzles in order to open a golden briefcase. I never did manage to get the briefcase open--can anyone tell me what was inside? [more inside]

Shiren the English-speaking Wanderer

I'm trying to play the SNES version of Shiren the Wanderer, with the English translation patch, on a Mac. The ROM without the patch works fine. When I put the patch in the same directory with the same base filename (the procedure for using a patch), the ROM loads and hangs. I'm using SNES9X as my emulator. Has anyone gotten this working? I'm willing to try any emulator.

A game for 2 players, 2 Macs, 1 LAN.

I'm after some 2 player LAN Mac games. The answers to this previous question don't hit the spot. Cannot rely on speed or dexterity (so no FPS), timers are also out. I have Hedgewars but word games or well-executed card games would be excellent as would strategy (not Frozen Synapse) with a good learning curve. From searches it seems the Mac is neglected in this area.

Rain rain go away, although this game is moderately fun to play
