Help me find a flash game where you built a spaceship from parts of enemy ships [more inside]
After spending more time on them than he should, my 7 year old has decided that he wants to make his own flash game. I have done the obligatory googling without finding anything obviously suitable. Are there any applications out there (free or $) designed or suited for kids? I don't imagine that he will be making anything from scratch, but assume there are some drag and drop applications out there with which he can have fun. Thanks.
Advice to an absolute beginner: Should I try to learn Flash and ActionScript for creating games and rapid prototyping of ideas? Or some other technology? I'm looking for flash "games" suitable in content for a preschool child (ie: no gore, violence, etc.) where you click the mouse or press a key and something happens, but where you're basically just creating random action. For example, clicking the mouse on the screen might cause a "firework" to deploy or a bubble to be created or burst. Any suggestions?
