## Why is SUMIF function not working when data is formatted as a table?

I am developing a sales lead sheet. I have on the B column a drop down list for the sales status (complete, no sale, and follow up). On the A column I have a dollar amount for the sales lead. Originally, I used the SUMIF function to add only the "follow up" figures referenced from Column B to track the dollar amount of outstanding leads. I then thought to convert my sheet into a table to make sorting easier, but now the SUMIF function is returning a value of zero. What did I miss? Thanks much!

## How to find all roots of a function in two variables?

I've got a long function with two variables, encoding - I suspect - a hidden message. Most likely, the message is somehow encoded in the function's roots. Is there any good software to plot a function in two dimensions and only show the points where it evaluates to zero? [more inside]

## What software can plot non-trivial functions?

What software can I use to plot functions? Excel and matplotlib seem to only plot data points. gnuplot plots simple functions but not the generalized harmonic number, which I need, e.g., H(n,1.5). It would be great if this software can also plot inverse functions, e.g. x=f(y) on a normal x-y axis to overlay on a normal y=f(x) plot.

## Firefox Restore Sesson Fail

Since upgrading to the latest Firefox (3.51?) the Session Restore feature which restores windows, tabs has NEVER worked. I get a white screen which says how embarrassing it is my previous session can't be restored.
I'd just like to start every session as a new one, it would save a lot of time, but can't figure out how to avoid the restore function.
The Mozilla/Firefox support site is so dense and discombobulated I can't find anything helpful there.
Any suggestions?

## Why does bandwidth cost money?

Why does bandwidth cost anything? Short of hosting companies finding a means to make some money, what is the actual cost justification on charging for overages, etc? Is it a racket or does traffic actually put an expense on an ISP forcing them, in turn, to charge customers? Always wondered. Thanks.
