What software can I use to plot functions? Excel and matplotlib seem to only plot data points. gnuplot plots simple functions but not the generalized harmonic number, which I need, e.g., H(n,1.5). It would be great if this software can also plot inverse functions, e.g. x=f(y) on a normal x-y axis to overlay on a normal y=f(x) plot.

Since upgrading to the latest Firefox (3.51?) the Session Restore feature which restores windows, tabs has NEVER worked. I get a white screen which says how embarrassing it is my previous session can't be restored. I'd just like to start every session as a new one, it would save a lot of time, but can't figure out how to avoid the restore function. The Mozilla/Firefox support site is so dense and discombobulated I can't find anything helpful there. Any suggestions?

I listened in on an engineering design lecture a few days ago, and was fascinated to find out that there are apparently databases out there that contain all the different ways some common functions can be accomplished - for example, getting liquid out of a cup. What are these databases called and where can I find them?

Why does bandwidth cost anything? Short of hosting companies finding a means to make some money, what is the actual cost justification on charging for overages, etc? Is it a racket or does traffic actually put an expense on an ISP forcing them, in turn, to charge customers? Always wondered. Thanks.
