I'm spending a week in Toulouse, France next month. I'll be on business, so busy during the day, but I expect my evenings will be free. Anything I should be sure to do/see/eat? In addition to Toulouse, are there any nearby places within a few hours drive that I should visit?

I'm staying with friends on the border between Switzerland and France for about six weeks this summer and would like to find a school that offers intensive French lessons. Ideally I would leave for France sometime in the beginning of June and stay until mid-July, though my dates are flexible. I speak intermediate level French now and would be willing to come into a course a little late, if necessary. Thanks!

I am Canadian. My dad was born in France, but is a naturalized Canadian - i'm pretty sure he's given up his French citizenship. Both my paternal grandparents were French, and moved to Canada in the early 1950s (when my dad was 4). What (if anything) am I eligible for in terms of French (or EU) citizenship?

What are some good job search websites/engines for Europe? I'm interested in jobs in international affairs, public relations, business and finance, advertising and marketing. I'm mostly looking for resources for Germany, Belgium, France and the UK, but pan-European websites are good too.

We called the USA from a France Télécom phonebooth. Following the instructions on the poster, we dialled *808 and gave our Visa card number. Turns out they charged more than $100 for a call lasting about 10 minutes. Is there anything we can do to contest this?

Last year I was in Strasbourg and was lucky enough to visit the Christmas Markets. I was amazed by the variety of Christmas ornaments, I've never seen anything like this in the US. That's the problem. I bought a few small ornaments, but would like to buy more. Does anyone know where online I can find these?

can anyone recommend a legitimate agency in France that places people into au pair or similar jobs? 23 year old Canadian female with extensive experience working with children and currently teaching in Korea would like to spend a year in France, probably working as an au pair or similar child care position. Any ideas about how to go about finding a decent position? There are tons of places mentioned on the net--but how does one know which are legit?

A friend of mine from France and I both noticed that, in France, the clouds in the sky seem to be closer to the ground than they are in the US. I have searched all over and can't figure out why this is the case, but we both observed it independently of one another so I assume something real must be going on - I just don't know what it is!
