What specialty food items should I bring back from Paris and London? I am traveling to both places in May. Can you recommend some unique and delicious food items I can bring back with me?
(Any other travel recommendations are welcome as well!)

Six months in the UK sandwiched between continental European travel for an American WWOOFer who'd rather not get visas if she can possibly avoid it. Your tips?

In a few days I will be staying with friend's family in western France, at a house they own. I will be in the UK the next few days.
Normally I would bring wine or chocolates as a thank you for the accommodation, but France does these much better and cheaper than the UK (I am told). I am Canadian. What could I bring that would still be a great gift, that I could find in London? It should be something like food or drink, and something of benefit to people on vacation. Price about $50. The friends I am visiting are French/Canadian and appreciate quality/luxury

I'm moving country on Tuesday. For those who've done this before - what do you wish you'd known before you set out? Is there anything I can do now to make it easier?

I'm starting a job in France in June. I'm English. I'm going to need various stuff (bank account, apartment, insurance, mobile phone, phone, internet, register with a doctor, find some decent French lessons, and heaps of stuff I'm sure to have overlooked right now). Does anyone know any good expat websites or guides to moving to France? Or a forum where I can ask a load of questions?

What are some good job search websites/engines for Europe? I'm interested in jobs in international affairs, public relations, business and finance, advertising and marketing. I'm mostly looking for resources for Germany, Belgium, France and the UK, but pan-European websites are good too.

Cost of living comparison. Is there any way to compare salaries and standard of living between USA, UK, and France? If I relocate between these, how much should I ask for to attempt to maintain a standard of living?
