I'm looking for a better quality pair of boots to replace these Steve Madden ones I bought a few years ago. I really like the style of these boots, with the little crochet detailing, and they're quite "light," but they're wearing out and it's time for me to find something new. [more inside]
I need summer shoes that are appropriate for my dark-colours, femme-with-an-edge aesthetic. Difficulty: my ankles roll (and then I fall), and my hand surgeon has emphasized I must do everything in my power to avoid slipping/falling this summer. What flat, good-grip summer shoes provide ankle support? [more inside]
What is the next step up, mainly in terms of quality and price, from Vans slip-ons that are similarly minimalist styled and comfortable enough for everyday wear? Looking for good quality, long lasting, simply-styled, slip-on men's shoes. [more inside]
For far too long I've coveted high-heeled mens shoes of the kind stereotypically worn by Beatles, mods, and (IIRC) many men hundreds of years ago. But just searching randomly for "winklepickers" or "cuban heels" tends to yield shoes that are, well, ugly, and I don't really see many options in stores. This is nice but I don't want boots, really. WHERE can I get, or at least look at, nice examples of men's shoes with some heel on them?
I need to find some super-comfortable mens' boots. Looking for boot recommendations, as well as places to shop. I can shop in NYC or online. [more inside]
Where (if anywhere) can I go in Manhattan to browse a reasonably large selection of high-quality men's dress shoes and try them on in different sizes without needing to deal with any salespeople? A warehouse with a bench would be fine. I am a guy with large but not gargantuan feet if that matters. Thanks.

Where can I purchase more socks like these? Acquired by my husband over 10 years ago at an airport in the Netherlands, they are long-lasting, comfortable, made of wool, have the word "TRAIL" embroidered in red across the instep, three horizontal red stripes on the ball of the foot, and what may be a size "3-46" in red across the toe.

I'm thinking about buying a pair of Ben Sherman Manchester boots on super sale from JackThreads, but I'm concerned they'll just be another pair of cheap Chinese-made shoes and a waste of a hundred bucks. Anybody have experience with recently made Ben Sherman shoes in general or this model specifically? Alternatively, if you have good experiences with black, mid-calf (10-12 eyelet) boots, I'd like to hear those, too.

Greetings, I am looking for multiple sources for unique mens boots. I have a bit of a boot addiction so I am looking for GREAT sources. I have found things I love at Fluevog and Cydwog recently. I like clean and stylish or rugged and stylish usually. Any funky, Bold, unusual boot links welcome. Thanks, SG

What is the noticeable difference between a $100 pair of men's dress shoes and a $500 pair of men's dress shoes? I wear standard, department store $100 dress shoes to work every day (I used to wear Cole Haan; now I wear Johnston & Murphy). When the $100 shoe soles wear out, I have them re-soled. They do end up looking beat-up fairly quickly, even with polishing. I have been told that, if I spend more money on the shoes, they will last longer and the investment will be worth it. [more inside]
