I have a few thousand photos on my hard drive and a few hundred of them have been uploaded to my Flickr account. With the new space available on Flickr, what is the easiest way for me to identify all of the photos that I have not yet uploaded?

II am trying to get a handle on web content and which content has, overall, the best stickiness. Sites like YouTube, Tumblr, Flickr are, as near as I can tell, mostly visual. Blog and microblogging sites like Wordpress and Twitter are word based. Quora, Reddit and Metafilter are information sharing communities. Podcasts and music sites like MySpace or Soundcloud are, for the most part, sound focused. And then you have sites like Facebook and Google+ that are trying to combine the best of all of them.

I'm planning to scan a large number of old family photographs, with an eye to eventually creating family photobooks. I need a wide variety of my family members to be able to access these photos in order to comment on them, and tell me who is in them, when they are from, etc.

I've done a google search and can't seem to find this specific site I'm looking for. It was a black site, which filled the screen with decent sized flickr photos that you could click on and find photos related to that one. Not sure what the algorithm was, but I seem to recall the site ending with multiple r's. http://*rrr.com ? You may have had the option to search for tags but I can't recall.

Flickr is perfectly fine, but I hate that it switches up photo URLs/servers, so photos I post on my blog turn into 'photo not available.' Since that's what I mainly use it for, it's getting to be a pain. What do I switch to?

I run a tumblr blog. Every day I post a Lego-related photo or video, mostly culled from Flickr. To facilitate this, I have subscribed to the RSS feed for the "lego" tag, so that I get in my feed reader every image tagged with "lego". This is a lot of images; it's not unusual for me to go through over 500 images a day.

I'm looking for a specific photo of a cat that I found on Flickr a few years ago. It was an orange cat with a lion cut, sitting up. He may or may not have been sticking out his tongue. It was a scanned Polaroid, with a blue background. Does anyone remember seeing this?

I am getting married soon, and for my reception I'd like to set up an easy system for my friends and family to send me all of the photos that they took during the day. My friends in the past used a shared flickr account, giving the password away so everyone could log into the account and upload the photos. I'm wondering if any mefites have a better solution out there.

My Flickr account is totally not popular, and for good reason. It's mostly just a bunch of photos for my parents to look at and I average about 1 visit per day at best.. I looked at my stats recently and, for some reason, 522 people looked at photos, mostly referred from Flickr. WTF? How do I figure out what happened?

I often see big-deal blogs such as Consumerist using third-party Flickr pictures to illustrate stories. I'm under the impression that when these pictures are tagged with an appropriate Creative Commons license, that such use is ok (as long as it falls under the restrictions set forth). But if it's explicitly tagged 'All Rights Reserved' how is this OK? Are they getting permission in each instance?
