I'm supposed to use "http://theoldreader.com/feeds/subscribe?url=%s" in the firefox feed handler, but I'm unclear exactly HOW. I know that replacing the "%s" with the url I'm wanting to add works, but I don't know how to get firefox to replace the '%s' with the current url. Adding it as a bookmark doesn't appear to work. Thoughts?

I love YousableTubeFix for Firefox, which sets global preferences for things like preferred resolution (the most important feature to me), default player size, and whether to autoplay videos on channel pages. The problem: it's still blocking ads even though I told it not to. Could you recommend any other Youtube-preference-modifying Firefox userscripts or add-ons that have a similar purpose but without accidentally blocking the ads?

How can I set up a Windows 7 PC to be clean and stay clean? I don't want file bits and temporary files to clog it up, I don't want a million image files the size of a dot. I don't want this computer to run like molasses after a few years of web browsing and use. What is the best way to do that?

I have a Macbook with OS X 10.5.8 and Firefox 13.0.1. The printing scale under File -> Page Setup in Firefox has randomly started defaulting to 60%. So every time I restart Firefox, I have to go in there and change it back to 100% before I print anything. I can't figure out how to change it back. Is this a Firefox thing, or a printer thing?

Recently when I print with Firefox, it tries to squeeze everything into 1 page. The text is TINY. I have tried "Print 100%", Scale to Fit, Print regular in preferences (HP Laserjet 4200). I have tried to print with different drivers. Nothing I do save "Print 200+%" works, and that's absolutely absurd to have to do each time. Chrome prints things fine, but I really don't want to have to use a different browser each time... Anybody have an idea? Any info I seem to find on the web comes up with old FF2 and FF3 printing issues. Nothing with a more current version on the mozilla forums.

While on Firefox (12.0) for my Mac (OS 10.5.8) I hit a mail link which caused my Firefox window to open rapidly window on window ad infinitum. It locked up my mac and I couldn't even get to Firefox Preferences/Tools etc without multiple windows opening on top. I force- quit. I restarted and this did not help. I uninstalled an reinstalled and this did not help. It hit about midnight and stupid and tired, I deleted my entire profile....The whole blasted thing in a rash moment.
So unlike available articles on Mozilla for retrieving missing/lost/messed with profiles mine is simply bye-bye by my own hand. I emailed Mozilla and got these instructions:
"Try to delete the profiles.ini file
*http://kb.mozillazine.org/profiles.ini_file
*http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox"
I don't have the ini file in the locations specified nor elsewhere.
This link did not seem to help, either. I tried entering a terminal command for Firefox (cannot find page for that now) and no luck. If I click on Firefox, it says "Firefox is already open, only one copy can be in use." (Nothing else is open and I even restarted the computer a few times.)
Any ideas? I like Firefox the best and would like to use it. And yes, I was an idiot to delete things so will take appropriate lashings.

Yesterday, my firefox install on ubuntu started misbehaving. The bookmarks toolbar only shows up if I remove it and and add it again. There are no URLs in Address bar and no URL display down where the status bar used to be. Several plugins have stopped working without being disabled. Sometimes tabs can't be closed. No session management and on and on. The problem seems to be some interaction of a ubuntu update and firefox not cooperating. After googling I have nothing and am at a complete loss for how to fix it. Where do people turn for support for ubuntu firefox problems that don't require them to be on either development team?

My work computer just upgraded to Firefox 8 (which I've had at home for a while and that's been fine) and I can't figure out how to do this one thing it did in old Firefox. So in whatever version I was using previously, I could click on a tiny downward-pointing arrow on a tab (or right near a tab, I don't remember, or maybe right near the back button) and get to that tab's recent history, so I could go back to recent searches or whatever else (the regular Recent History doesn't work for this, as I have multiple tabs open at a time, and the titles appear the same on my internal database).
How do I bring this magic arrow back to new Firefox? I really need to be able to view a specific tab's recent history.

Wanted: same FF bookmark in diferent folders. When bookmarking a URL, Firefox appears to check if the URL already has been bookmarked in any FF folder in the past. If so, FF identifies the previous folder in the Page Bookmarked popup, removes the bookmark from that previous folder and puts it into the newly selected folder choice. Is there any way to force the same URL to be bookmarked in multiple folders (short of manually tracking down the original bookmark, duplicating it, and copying it to the second folder)? This "feature" seems to be URL based, so it doesn't work to change the name of the bookmark intended for the new folder in order to keep the URL from disappearing from the original folder.
