We use a clip-on-bridge pickup ($20, but it sounds fancy) to incorporate cello into our 5-piece rock band. The cello is always the volume-limiting factor, though, and we'd like things to be a little louder. There seem to be no sound hole covers on the market, and we're not stuffing the whole thing with socks, so we're looking for anything that will reduce feedback and easily attach to the cello without having any, any, ANY permanent effect on the instrument.

An eBay purchase just arrived. I have no complaint at all about the item, and it was shipped quickly. The seller included a religious tract in the package, though, which bugs me. I have been charged with developing a employee suggestion system. Has anyone seen a organization do it right? My challenges are in eliciting valuable suggestions ( not complaints ), recognizing contributions, and defining what suggestions are good versus those that are bad. There’s a long tradition of telling a story, say, around a campfire, or to a group of friends in a bar, and based on the feedback you get, changing the story to suit or entertain your audience. Today, the web gives everyone the ability to tell a story and receive feedback from a much wider audience than was previously possible. Two examples I can think of are the blogging phenomenon and Shelley Jackson’s hypertext writings. I’m looking for traditional/historical examples and sources as well as as well as online equivalents?

AAAA+A+++++++ GrEAT SELLER, BUY WITH CONfIDENSE, WOULD DO BUSINESS AGAIN!+!!! It seems this is pretty much the de facto standard for positive feedback on eBay, although I find it difficult to believe that most satisfied customers are nearly crapping their pants with joy for something as trivial as successfully receiving a purchase. If I go and buck the trend by posting something simple like "Fast shipping, product was as described," will my relative lack of enthusiasm make this feedback look almost negative? Would I need to worry about the seller writing me nasty emails for leaving crappy feedback? [more inside]
