Can you help me improve my relationship with my grandparents? They recently moved across the country to be closer to family (my parents, my sister and me + husband). We've grown apart since I transitioned from child to adult (which I think is fairly normal) and I was looking forward to having them in the same city to get closer again. This is turning out to be more difficult than originally premised. Special snowflake details within.

When we have our baby later this spring, and after I go back to my p/t job, my mom is going to take care of our son a few days a week. I'm looking for tips on what sorts of "supplies" my parents should keep at their house and what we should shuttle back and forth. They'll have their own Pack & Play and their own carseat, but what else? Any other tips to make this as easy as possible for everyone would be much appreciated, too.

Trying to decide just how close to move to our kid's (very enthusiastic) grandparents. If you've experienced the childrearing-with-nearby-grands situation (as kid, grand OR parent), how did it work out? Any advice on encouraging involvement while still maintaining boundaries?

My parents have been gracious enough to take care of my 19 month old boy in the morning while my wife and I are at work. Turns out, there has been more than a bit of tension brewing and this weekend, it boiled over. There was yelling, accusations tears etc. Help me solve this family dispute please...
