WinXP: Browsing the home dir in a HDD pulled from a different PC

In WinXP, why is it that the file browser within Nero9 is able to view the home dir of a disk pulled from a different WinXP PC, but Windows Explorer isn't able to? [more inside]

IE JavaScript woes

I'm trying to come up with a generalized comic viewer using just JavaScript. I have a solution that works in nearly all browsers, but fails miserably in Internet Explorer (several versions). I don't have easy access to a Windows machine, and wonder if anyone could help me figure out what I'm doing wrong (specifically for IE). [more inside]

Why does IE hate my website?

Why does IE hate my website? I've got it looking decent in Safari and Firefox, but it looks hideous in Explorer. Having done a fair amount of Googling, I've come to the conclusion that it's probably related to one of Explorer's notorious CSS rendering bugs, but my self-taught CSS and HTML is not enough to enable me to pinpoint and solve the problem.
