I do marketing for a chain of stores in the Midwest. One of the owners thinks we need to spend money on geofencing. He found a company that does it for a hefty price. But they claim that a person does not need to access their phone within the fence to receive an ad impression. Another company I work with tells us that your phone must be accessed within the fence. Both agree that you have to have location services on. Which is it? Are they both right? [more inside]
My (Verizon) Droid X is dying. I'm looking for a new-ish used phone on Swappa, but am overwhelmed by the options. One of the features I love most about my Droid X is the car dock / vehicle mount. The dock integrates the power cable, such that I don't have to plug and unplug the cord every time I use the vehicle mount. I just put it in the cradle and it's charging. It's a small detail, but it's really nice for getting in and out of the car quickly. Is there another, slightly newer model phone that has a similar car dock available? Or are there third-party vehicle mounts that are available that are model-specific enough to incorporate the power connector?

Upgrading my phone: I'm debating a Droid 4, but I'm a bit nervous about the mediocre reviews of the camera. Will a third-party camera app improve the photo quality? [more inside]
Now that the Verizon iPhone is official, I'm going to be counting down the days until February 10th. I'd like your tips/advice/anecdotes about switching from Android to iPhone. [more inside]
Are you considering the iPhone or the Droid? Which one did you get and how did you decide? I am already a Verizon customer; also my sister has an iPhone and is willing to add me to her plan if I choose the iPhone.
