Hello All, On a site I am building I have everything saved to a single file and all links are formated, /xxx.php but dreamweaver has started renaming everything file:/C|Documents%and%settings/administrator/desktop... ect. I am using PHP and using a testing server. no links work when I check it on my testing server. Everything has been working fine until today, and am unsure what may have caused the change. When in Dreamweaver 8 setting up the "site definitions / advanced/ remote info - I enter my login-in an password information and when I exit DW, it erases the information. I didn't design this page, but I'm now maintaining it. Why does the shaded gray box on the right appear halfway down the page in IE, but right where it should in Firefox? I think it was designed in Dreamweaver, but I'm not sure. How can I fix this?

Dreamweaver question... I want some of the links on a page to be one color, and the rest of the links be a different color. Setting the link colors in page properties makes ALL links the same color. Is there a way to make links of different colors? Maybe by over-riding the page properties in a specific section of the page? Or separating the page props some how? thanks... novice

I've been running my blog for many years now and it's come to my attention that I'm dead without an RSS feed. I've used Dreamweaver to design and edit the site all these years and have tried to figure out ways to incorporate an RSS feed when I update, but I haven't found an easy way to do that thus far (XO is my host.) I may be wrong but I think I need to just transfer the whole thing to a new platform like Moveable Type or something like that--is it just easiest to hire someone to do this for me? How would I go about this and how much would it cost? Or are there better ways to do this? Help!

Help, Help !! If anyone has experience with Dreamweaver and setting up the “Site Definition” settings; either basic or advanced mode for “Remote Info” I desperately need your advice and it would be very much appreciated. Runbox is my web host and I use “cPannel” to manage my web files. I can’t figure out what settings to use for “FTP access”. What would my “FTP host” be and what should I put in there this field? To be honest, I’m not quite sure what a FTP is although to use Dreamweaver’s functions, I need to set this up and have not been successful. Next question; Am I correct in saying the “Host Directory” would be in the “public_html” folder in cPannel that all my web page files are located? Any advice would be appreciated. I’ve tried multiple times and days to set this up, but I must be doing something wrong. Thank you in advance for your cooperation…Orlin

Why is my Dreamweaver 8 sometimes (but not always) infuriatingly slow with file operations? It can take 30 seconds to refresh a directory view or save a file, during which the app is immobile. Is it doing something ridiculously intense for simple file operations that I could disable somehow? I've searched and found similar complaints but no solutions yet.
