Can you reccomend a great vascular doctor in New York City?

I know you are NMD, but can you help me find a good one? I have a venous malformation that I've had for years, and have tried various treatments without much success, so I need a new doc. Any suggestions for a really good vascular doctor in NYC?

[HypochondriacFilter] Should I see a doctor?

So. Background: I'm in great shape. Eat well. Drink lightly. Work out at the gym a couple times a week and do martial arts. I'm also in my late twenties. Last few days I've had a tight feeling in the front of my chest, like a dull, centralized ache. I suppose it could be muscle pain, I did change my workout routine recently. But I've also found myself really short on breath intermittently. (It's hard to describe, kind of a fluttery, panic attack, 'can't catch your breath,' 'butterfly in my heart' feeling.) Coincidence? Could be. So the question is, should I be running off to see a doctor? I know they say to consult a doctor about ANY chest pain, but who likes to see doctors, and why would my heart be ailing anyway? I'm inclined to pass it off as nothing, but...

I need a regular doctor

So I figure its time to stop relying on walk-in clinics and get a primary care doctor/general practitioner. I just don't feel comfy looking up a list online and randomly picking one. Does anyone have either a suggestion for finding a good primary care physician/general practitioner or can anyone recommend one in the north Tampa/Lutz area?

What I think is my Achilles Tendon or is in that area at least started hurting like crazy on my right foot when I walk. I would like to see a doctor about this but my health insurance has a super high deductible, and is mainly to keep an unforeseen emergency from bankrupting me. How can I have someone check this out where it won't cost me an arm and a leg, is there some kind of clinic I can go to? Mid 20s, located in LA.

Do I pursue the fact that my GI doc did not wait for the anaesthetic to take effect during my upper endoscopy & colonoscopy?

I just underwent upper endoscopy and colonoscopy. The GI administered the anaesthetic in a haphazard, guesswork fashion and eventually just gave up and proceeded even though the anaesthetic was clearly having no effect yet. My reflexive reactions to the EGD were pretty violent although I don't think I ended up with any injuries. The drugs kicked in 3/4 of the way through the colonoscopy. A friend is looking for a fat-friendly general practitioner in Austin, TX. (Someone who subscribes to the idea of health at every size would be ideal — though really it doesn't matter how they label themself, as long as they're generally sensitive about body-image/weight/food issues. We've seen this fat friendly health professionals list, but the one GP listed in Austin is apparently no longer practicing here.) Suggestions? [more inside]

Given short shrift at visit to the doctor

My husband recently had an appointment with a new doctor, primarily to discuss issues of mild depression and a mystery nodule in his inguinal region. Depression is not chronic or severe, and husband has never sought treatment for it before, but doctor (a) prescribed Effexor + Xanax right off the bat; (b) did not discuss "discontinuation syndrome" or other potential side effects; (c) did not look at the nodule at all.
