any recommendations for good forums for doctors , especially places to post interesting/problematic cases and get feedback? It might be that the forum is not restricted to doctors or medical professionals, but should have a high signal to noise ratio, something sadly lacking on most consumer driven medical forums....

Should I Go to the Doctor Filter: Last night, a friend and I were goofing around. He went to pick me up and toss me over his shoulder, and succeeded instead in tossing me face-first into the corner of a wall at a fairly decent velocity. I know the kneejerk response to these questions is usually YES GO TO THE DOCTOR WHY ARE YOU ON METAFILTER YOU IDIOT, but details inside.

My doctor prescribed me Cipro (Ciprofloxacin) for a potential prostate infection. This is the first prescription drug I've been on in about 10 years.
After reading up on the internet about potential side effects (as well as FDA black box warnings [!]) I have to admit I am rather concerned about permanent damage to weight bearing joints and possible tendon rupture (which can occur long after you stop treatment) There are a bunch of lawsuits going on about it. I do fairly heavy weight training and this makes me nervous.

I went to a ENT/facial surgeon recently for something unrelated, and I asked the doctor, who also does facial plastic surgery, what I could do about a large vein I have under my right eye. He had me speak with a woman in the office, and she told me, after looking at my vein(s), about a procedure for veins like mine (not spider veins) wherein they inject saline into the vein and then it goes away. What procedure is that? How much does it cost? Do you have a recommendation for a place in Philadelphia, PA?

I have insurance but I don't have a doctor, so if I have to see one, I'll have to go the ER. Pics are a touch gross.
