Ohio! Because it's in the way!

I'll be in Dayton (actually Kettering) OH for one day at the beginning of April. I could drive up to the Cleveland area to visit my son, but I'll be doing that anyway 2 weeks later. What should I do? Don't mind driving up to an hour or so, as previous threads on the topic seem to indicate that the best thing to do in the Dayton area is to drive through it on your way somewhere else. I like museums, local color, historic sites, nature.

Commuting from NYC to Berea, KY

NYC to Berea, Kentucky. Best ways to travel back and forth, about 6 roundtrips over the course of 3 months? Low cost is very important, but not quite so important that I could stomach the 19-hour Greyhound ride every time. Can't find any budget airlines that go NYC-Lexington. Some cheap flights BWI-LEX and some NYC-Dayton -- maybe those are my best choice even with the added time/cost on bus legs? Finally, anybody know approx. taxi cost Lex-Berea (for times when Greyhound schedule doesn't fit with my plane)? Thanks!

What's Dayton, Ohio like?

What's Dayton, Ohio like? (more inside...) I’m looking at law schools, and as anyone who has ever registered with the LSDAS knows, as soon as you put your information in there, schools from all bizarre corners of the US start sending you letters begging you to apply, insinuating that you will not only be accepted without question, but that nice law school officials will also come to your house and help you pack. Most of the letters of this ilk that I have received have been for schools located in areas to which I am not interested in moving, but yesterday I got one from a school in Dayton, Ohio. I know a couple of folks from Ohio in the on-line world and they seem to like it pretty well, and one of my favorite <a href=” http://www.gbv.com/”>bands is from Dayton, so I thought I do some more research on the area, starting with asking the fine folks at AskMetafilter. Thanks!

Oh and if it helps, I’ve lived in the north east, south, south west (well, Colorado, whatever that’s considered), and north west so it’s not like I’m stuck in a rut or looking at major culture shock as far as US regional cultures go.
