I need monitor nipples? What are they called and where can I get 'em?

My monitor uses a DVI port. Plugging in a DVI cable works perfectly except for one flaw: the 2 screw nipple thingamabobs are missing on the sides of the port on the monitor, which means the screws on the DVI cable have nothing to screw into to lock the cable in place. If anything bumps the DVI cable at all, it can fall out of the socket. So, I'm desperate to find a pair of those little nipple doodads, which should look like the nut looking things with screw holes to the sides of the blue VGA port in this image. Instead of those things, my monitor has holes where those used to be screwed into. What are they called and where can I get them?

Display Cables Battle Royale: D-Sub vs DVI vs HDMI

I've a monitor with DVI-D and D-Sub input. My graphics card has DVI-D, D-Sub and HDMI output. I'm connected via D-Sub right now, but I hear DVI gives better image quality. Is this true? And does HDMI have better quality than DVI? If so, would an HDMI-to-DVI cable give me better quality than vanilla DVI? [more inside]

Possibly loose DVI or tight VGA?

My monitor is a 24" Samsung with dual VGA and DVI outputs. I've been using the DVI output to connect to a 3 year old white Macbook. Today, like an idiot, I moved the monitor without detaching the monitor cable, and the screws snapped off, and I cannot get what is left of them out of the holes. So now, I can either use the DVI output with no screws to hold the cable in place, or I can use the VGA output. Which is my best option? [more inside]

Is there a way I can feed the xbox video into my monitor and the audio into my computer's speakers (LogiTech LS21)? What would it cost? Such as converting it from a standard video and audio format that you'd plug into your tv to a DVI and 3.5mm female connector. Or HDMI to VGA or DVI and Audio to 3.5mm?
