Do you have any secret spots within an hour or so of Baltimore that you want to share with the entirety of the internets? Unlike previous AskMes, I don't want to go swimming, or deal with a billion tourists. I just want to go read a good book near the water for a day (ideally on a quiet beach, or in a park near a beach).

This Friday I have a 7:30 PM flight out of BWI. What time should I leave the Chevy Chase, MD area? What route is best (any construction or other concerns)? I will have a rental car and am traveling solo.

I'm looking for extremely primitive beach camping sites (preferably on the Chesapeake) in the DC/MD/VA area. I'm talking about places with no running water, no bathrooms, nothing but nature for miles around. Assateague Island's backcountry camping sites
are a perfect example of what I'm looking for. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I'd like some tips on nice, down to earth, mixed-group, unpretentious, laid back bars in Baltimore and/or Washington, DC. If you happen to know Brooklyn (NY, not MD), Moe's in Fort Greene would be the perfect example. I'm thinking music that's heavy on the not-so-obvious 70s and 80s R&B, rare grooves, funk, with a dash of reggae and jazz; a crowd that tends to be ethnically diverse; the drinks aren't at Financial District prices; and (perhaps most importantly) where ex-suburban gentrifiers would feel kind of out of place at. I realize I could very well be asking for the impossible. [more inside]

I am looking for a guitar teacher in either DC or Baltimore. I am at an intermediate level (mostly rock). I used to take lessons but haven't in about 8 years, so I'm rusty. I am looking for someone with an excellent reputation, which I am willing to pay for. Does anyone have any suggestions?

How long would my daily commute (driving or MARC) take if I lived in Takoma Park/Silver Spring and worked in Baltimore, right off of 83 at around E. Fayette St. and S. Calvert St?
