I want to travel, one way I have heard to do this is through organizations such as FEMA and the red cross. I am graduating with a Bachelors in English in 3 weeks and am 24 years old. There are no entry level jobs that I saw available on their websites, am I doing something wrong? Does anyone know where I can find entry level positions?
I had thought about teaching English in a Spanish speaking country, does anyone know of some reputable programs for someone wish bare-bones Spanish knowledge looking to improve?

Someone I know who is a volunteer would like a copy of the REACT/Red Cross produced video "Where Seconds Count". He had been told he could view it online, but repeated online searches have failed to find it, and neither the Red Cross nor individual REACT organizations seem to be selling physical copies via their websites. I've been trying to help him find it, but have had no luck. Anybody?

I need to buy (gack!) my own health insurance. I'm in New York state. I'm looking for very good coverage. Would rather pay more for high-quality, flexible, non-nitpicky coverage (if such a thing exists), and then economize by opting for high deductibles.
I once lived in CT for a short while, and loved Anthem Blue Cross. But I've heard horror stories about Empire Blue Cross in NY. What other options are out there?

We've just acquired a second colocation facility for redundancy and for geopolitical separation of our services (in other words, Canadian customers on Canadian boxes, US customers on US boxes for many pain in the ass reasons I won't get into here.). Our office is in Canada and the second colo facility is in Seattle. What sort of fresh hell will we unleash by taking servers purchased here across the border?

I have a pair of old 75mm Nordic Norm cross country ski boots. They're leather on the lower half and 'foamy' synthetic on the upper half. The problem is, the 'foamy' synthetic is supposed to be covered with some kinda of vinyl, but like most older xc boots, it seems that the coating has flaked off of my boots.
Is there anyway I can make this foamy section weatherproof? Can I stop continued flaking?

An
article in my local newspaper on the removal of roadside crosses (and having just read Carl Hiassen's "Skinny Dip," in which a minor character collects roadside crosses and replants them in his backyard) made me wonder if non-Christians put up non-cross roadside memorials, and if there are websites with examples.

I used to live in Montreal, and heard somewhere that on certain nights the cross on top of the mountain would flash various colours (I never saw this happen myself). Rumour had it that this was for bulb-testing purposes, and that the city lit up the cross with different colours when certain rare and important events took place. Supposedly, one of these events was the death of a pope, which was purported to merit a purple cross. Is the cross purple right now? Is it really outfitted with various coloured bulbs, or is this all wild hearsay? Maybe someone was just pulling my leg.
