I (foolishly) let a plant with thorns and sharp leaves get rather large next to my house. Now I'm finding it tough to tear it all out because it's so well established. Can anybody help me identify the plant so I can try to figure out if I'm killing enough of it so that it won't come back? I live in Colorado. A picture of the plant is
here and a close up of the yellow flowers/leaves is
here.

My fella and I will be in Estes Park and Golden, Colorado for the week of May 26th-June 1st. We planned on doing a lot of hiking. We've had our fingers crossed for good weather, but it's starting to look like we may have to have some backup plans. Help!

What are nice places to go out for dinner in or around Lafayette, Colorado? (Going as far as Boulder would be fine, too, if you have recommendations.) Looking to spend about $100 for a couple, maybe more if it is worth the added expense. No real limitations, diet-wise, but they like vegetarian or fish with good beer.

My girlfriend and I are visiting Denver in mid-June for five days, primarily to see Devotchka to play at Red Rocks - but we're keen to do a bit of sightseeing as well. Our current plan is to go straight from DIA to Estes Park via shuttle bus, stay there for a couple of days, do some hikes, etc, then (somehow?!) get to Downtown Denver. We'd drop our bags there, get a taxi (or similar) to Red Rocks and back for the concert, and then head to DIA. Hiring a car isn't an option... does this sound sane?

3 coworkers want to plan a 4-5 day ski trip, probably to Colorado, in mid-to-late March. Convenience is key (we want to spend more time skiing and less time traveling), budget is roughly $1,000-$2,000 (including airfare, transit, lodging, ski/board+boot rentals, and lift tickets). Where do we go?

I recently moved from California to Colorado, then acquired a new car. Meanwhile, my California registration on the old car expired. I want to sell the old car in Colorado, but it has no current registration and was never registered in this state. How can I take people on test drives? Just risk it? Is signing over the California title sufficient, then it's their job to get the car registered?
Headache city, any advice is much appreciated.

I'm posting this as anonymous as I have some friends and family who read this site, and they don't know we're this serious yet.
My girlfriend and I are talking about getting married this summer if we can afford it and afford living together. We're looking at possibly Saint Malo off of Highway 7, Panorama Point or doing something in Rocky Mountain National Park. We're leaning more towards a summer wedding outdoors, June or July. Saint Malo is great, but expensive for what we want ($1000 for a few hours). Panorama Point in Golden Gate State park is more feasible. We're both really practical so we want our friends and family there but not at significant cost or debt.
Other then Rocky Mountain National Park or Golden Gate State park, what are some good locations in Colorado for an outdoor wedding?
In terms of cost, food for < 30 guests, location, photographer etc... what should we plan to spend? We're talking about doing it on a weekday.

I have just accepted an offer to teach in a small town near Steamboat Springs, which is across the country from where I have lived/worked mostly all my life. It's a huge step for me (I'm nearly 40), and I am okay with the newness of starting over, etc. I am a bit nervous about the learning curve, but I think the people will be gracious and helpful, so that's not something that causes me to lose sleep.
What I've worked on almost day and night since taking the job offer (teaching) is a budget. It's an enormous pay cut for me (approximately $15,000), and I'm concerned about being able to cover costs. I'm more of a saver than spender, and I've always probably saved more than the average person. I know that teachers live there and survive (and maybe even thrive!) on the salary. I think I'll be okay as I get my bearings, but for now I would be so grateful to anyone who can share their thoughts about budgeting in Steamboat Springs, cost of living, anything at all.
