I'm using Google Chrome Version 51.0.2704.106 m on Windows 7. When I launched Chrome tonight the very top bar, where the 'new tab' button is located, is a bright blue. I hate this. I'd like to either change it back to what it was previous (a light grey I guess?) or at least set it to a lighter color via settings or extension or whatever. Is there a way to do this? Thanks.
For whatever reason, when I turned my computer on this morning Chrome is displaying fonts in a way that it just slightly different enough from the usual way to drive me insane. See here. [more inside]
I have 3 windows with about 50 tabs open in my Macbook. I now want to go to my iMac and have these same open tabs. How can I mirror that? [more inside]
I use Google's reverse image search via right-click in Chrome. Previously it would return some decent results, with useful suggestions. Lately it's been crap. [more inside]
I've used the Chrome browser with the LastPass extension for years, and for years it's been set to refuse automatic access to accounts such as Facebook, metafiilter, GMAIL, etc, unless I type in the master LastPass password. Suddenly, this has changed, and Chrome refuses to forget my passwords....it's driving me nuts! [more inside]
I wish I had more time to research this, but frankly I do not. [more inside]
Sometime yesterday, something changed with my hover-over text in Chrome, where while it used to bring up the attributes wherever my curser was, now if displays them instead at the top of my screen. I don't know WHY I hate this, I just know that I want to change it back and can't discern how. Macbook Air running Yosemite. Thanks!
Why is Chrome randomly (but frequently) failing to load webpages? [more inside]
The font size of links on my Chrome browser has shrunk to teeny proportions. See here for an example. [more inside]
When you go to a website in Chrome, there's a flash of the default white non-website before the website itself loads. I've figured out how to change the default colors of the website itself (there's an app for that), but not for that first flash. Or for popups, evidently (thank you MeFi for giving me the opportunity to learn that now!). That white screen before the page loads is not only blinding, but also often triggers both facial pain and migraines. I'd really like it to be darker - anything would help, dark gray or black preferred. Help?
Google Chrome version 47.0.2526.106. Windows 10. You open Chrome, and you see the Google logo. Below it is the search box. Below that are 6 thumbnails. How do I put what I want in those 6 spaces? Please explain as though I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, and you're not even sure I understand English.
For some reason, I keep getting push notifications about one website - a website I've never visited, so far as I know, that say "this site has been updated in the background". Can you help me fix this? [more inside]
I opened a PDF file in Chrome from a link in a Google search a couple of weeks ago. I didn't save the PDF but I need it! Can I get it out of my old files somehow? It doesn't seem to be in my downloads and the Wayback Machine doesn't have anything.
I can't get my phone (iPhone 6, iOS 9.1) to load the swagbucks.com desktop site in chrome. whether I request it on the site itself or using chrome's "request desktop site" button, it just keeps loading and reloading the mobile site. [more inside]

I looked at the previous questions about Amazon.com not loading and have tried everything I can think of to try and get it to work. I have flushed my dns cache, deleted my browsing history and cookies, disabled prefetching, and even restarted my router. I even made sure I was using the most up to date chrome. What gives? I am fairly competent with computers, but might need things spelled out for me. Any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks!!

I had a couple of very odd experiences with the Facebook mobile browser page (Chrome for iOS on an iPhone 6) that seem beyond coincidence, and it makes me wonder if Facebook is rummaging through my phone, or if iOS is giving some kind of privileged access to some of my information to Facebook. Recently I performed a clean installation of Windows 10 (which, by the way, I very much like despite not-so-subtle bugs creeping up a tad more than I'd like) and would like app and Chrome add-on recommendations. [more inside]

I'm wondering if anyone has a simple fix for resolving a major bookmark syncing problem with Chrome. For whatever reason Chrome duplicates bookmarks, so much so that it affects the performance of my browser. The only fix I have been able to find is that I should disconnect my Android Chrome profile from my desktop profile, but that seems to defeat the purpose of have a Chrome profile. Any thoughts? Since upgrading to Yosemite, my laptop has been behaving very... poorly. Is there some way to speed it up, should I wait for some update to it, or should I try return to Mavericks? [more inside]
The thieves were interrupted and didn't get much. Jewellery, watches and the worlds crappiest HP laptop. I'm in the process of changing all my passwords, but use Chrome which I keep synced and want to remove the stolen computer from my account. Any easy way to do this? I've done a cursory search to no avail. The irony is it was a really terrible computer, you almost need to be touching the router to get the wifi to work. Suckers, enjoy that piece of junk, I'll keep using this new Macbook Air you left behind.
How can I stop Chrome from killing my battery? [more inside]
I just set up a Chromecast. Casting from the Chrome browser on my Windows PC works fine, as does Youtube on my Android phone (Droid Maxx running 4.4.4). No other apps (tried Netflix, Google Play Music & Movies, and HBOGo) work (won't even show the cast icon). I also tried Netflix with an iPad (running iOS 7, but not the latest version) and it didn't allow me to cast either. But I am able to successfully see the Chromecast device from both my phone and iPad using the Chromecast app. What might be the problem?

Surprising coincidence or are adblock/ghostery/etc not actualy effective? [more inside]
So in Chrome you can define short keywords to perform a search with the search engine of your choosing. If I type "am shoes" in the address field, it searches for shoes on amazon.com. However, some keywords are blocked, for example I can't use the prefix "gm"for google maps or "rt" for rotten tomatoes. As I transitioned from Opera which has no such restrictions, and having used these prefixes for a long time, I would like to keep using them. Anybody know how to circumvent these restrictions, or at least why they are in place?

My husband has a problem with his computer and we can’t figure it out. He has a PC with Windows 8.0. He’s having trouble with three specific programs (Chrome, Google Earth and iTunes). The three problems started at about the same time. Is this a problem with his PC or with the programs or something else? (details and pictures inside). [more inside]

I've decided to switch over completely to Google Chrome, and on my work laptop it's NBD. My home laptop, however, asks me EVERY DAMN TIME I START CHROME if I want to make it my default browser; clicking OK does nothing (Firefox is still the default). More inside... [more inside]

Now that SPOI's Youtube Options has gone subscription-only, what options are there for downloading Youtube videos in Chrome or Firefox? Userscripts.org seems to have finally bitten the dust, and the scripts it had were out of date.
I browse the web on my iPhone using Chrome, following discussions here and elsewhere. What drives me absolutely bonkers though is that every time I switch to something else or another app, when I come back to the page on Chrome I see exactly where I was on the page for about one second, and then Chrome will reload fresh copy of the page scrolled to the top, thus losing my place in the discussion. Is there any fix for this or any alternative I can use that doesn't have this issue?
I accidentally made Chrome ignore all of a certain file type. How can I fix it so I don't have to use Internet Explorer (yuck)? [more inside]
I have a four character stored password on a website on Android Chrome. I would like to recover this password so I can access the site on a new phone. I no longer have the email address I registered with so password recovery won't work - any ideas? Would prefer to avoid rooting the phone.
I read a forum that uses emoticons a lot, and there is a specific one I'd like to hide. I don't mind the rest, so a solution that excludes/disables that single file would be preferred. However if there are only ways to hide them all, I'm open to that, too. I'd prefer solutions compatible with Chrome and OSX 10.9.2, but I use other browsers and operating systems as well, so all suggestions are helpful. [more inside]

I am on a mac, and reluctantly use Firefox right now for some of my work. Firefox on the mac has become so slow and boggy, it is painful to work on. However, I download a lot of jpegs from webpages, and in Firefox, you can have the file automatically open with one click in Photoshop (or any other software), without having to download, go to the finder, and so forth. Is that feature available in either Chrome or Safari? I have done some googling, but can't seem to find anything.
