Help me find someone to help me find a job in Chicago

I live and work in Chicago, and I have got to find a new job. However, at 47 years of age, even with a degree from a prestigious university and plenty of skills and intelligence, my "on paper" work history leaves me no way to cobble together a résumé that would mildly interest anyone, and I am wary of services that offer to help you turn out a great C.V./cover letter/etc. (for a price, of course). The job-hunting sites online all contradict one another about everything. I don't know how to job hunt, but I'm desperate to get out of my current job--and, more importantly, into a job I can actually bear (I'm not going to shoot for the moon and say I've got to like it). Bakery recommendations near DePaul University

My cousin is a first-year student at DePaul University in Chicago; I'm 99% sure he lives on or near the Lincoln Park campus. Training for science teacher to become a *computer* science teacher?

I currently am a high school science teacher working in Chicago. Do you have a contact for a taco truck for hire in the Chicago burbs?

We are having a party for my wife's birthday in the western suburbs and I want to get a taco truck/cart for the food. I can find lots of Mexican food caterers, but google is failing me on proper taco trucks/carts. (It seems like most purveyors do not really have websites or facebook accounts or anything.) Some advice on moving to Chicago from WI

Thinking about moving from Wisconsin to Chicago this year. The grad program I am in allows me quite a bit of flexibility for location so long as I am back monthly for lab stuff. My interests are in 1) living in a reasonably interesting and pleasant part of the city, accessible to cool stuff, without breaking the bank, and 2) picking up some part time work that will help cover the increased cost of living and also pad my bank account a bit (complication: I need flexibility so that I can, with quite a lot of advance notice, occasionally miss a week or so). Looking at Hyde Park and Lakeview. Would love some advice. [more inside]

Name this mid '90s Chicago street fair band

There was a locally quasi-famous Chicago band that played in the late '90s. It seemed like they were always at street fairs. They sounded a little bit Barenaked Ladies-esque, and had an Asian woman who played the violin. (I don't know how I know this but I swear the violinist had an MFA from Michigan). Who were these guys? They were good.

How much time between flights to pass customs from Paris to Toronto?

I am buying my plane tickets for a trip this summer. One ticket has as its return a change of plane/layover time of 1hr 35m between the flight from Paris to Toronto and the flight from Toronto to Kansas City. Alternatively, I can go with a different flight that on the return goes from Paris to Chicago with a 2h 45m layover. I'm assuming the latter is the option I should go with due to Customs delays but want other traveler's opinions for confirmation. [more inside]
