How to celebrate six months of marriage at a wedding party?

In March, Mrs. HeroZero and I exchanged vows and rings at City Hall with a very small group of friends and immediate family. On Labor Day, we're having a bigger wedding party with the friends and family who couldn't come to the original, tiny event. What are some ideas for making this ceremony meaningful in a way that's different from how a wedding goes? [more inside]

University Commencement - to go or not to go?

I will be graduating soon and I'm debating whether or not I should go to the graduation ceremony. On one hand, I'm proud that I finished but on the other, I can't invite my family and I wonder if it's worth doing alone. Does the ceremony even matter? If I don't go, will I regret it forever? Suggestions for Ceremony lines

Wedding in 5 weeks. We still haven't figured out any of the script for our wedding. The officient sent us a handful of sample ceremonies, but none of them really feel like us. The "I ______ take thee _________ to be my wife/husband, for richer or poorer" etc vows we are totally stuck on, and frankly the ring exchange lines are also sticking us up too. Please help. The green always has such creative suggestions! Don't fail me now! [more inside]

Alternatives for wine in a Love Letter Box for a wedding ceremony?

We're planning on having a love letter and wine box ceremony for our wedding, but I don't like wine that much (although a sweeter wine that lasts that long could be an option). What else could we put in the box that would last for 25 years and still taste good/be nice to have? Doesn't have to be food or drink, I'm open to anything.

Wedding commitment symbol that is not a ring?

Let's say you want to marry someone, but they don't want a ring. This would be because the person doesn't ever wear rings, not wanting to draw attention to their hands (long story, just know that hand-oriented things are out). What other options are there for a wedding token? Are there cool options from cultures that do not have the wedding ring as part of their history? Any non-hand-based suggestions are welcome.

MatrimonyFilter: Sample wedding ceremony scripts for officiating my best friend's wedding?

I'm about to be the officiate my best friend's wedding (first gig) and I was hoping to find some inspiration for the wedding ceremony. I've known the bride since 5th grade and her husband-to-be since he moved across the country to be with her over 6 years ago. Neither of them is religious, one of them is atheist, but some of family has a strong sense in God. Does anyone have some links to fitting wedding ceremony scripts or a great story from personal experience? They're both fairly silly people, so unconventional is okay.
