There is a cat without collar or tags in the hallway of my apartment building. It's too late to knock on neighbors' doors to ask if it's theirs. I can hear it mewing outside my door. What should I do?

I've got a 14-year-old male indoor cat with a large lump inside his mouth, on his cheek. He doesn't seem to notice or care much—he's been eating/drinking and behaving normally (alpha male). He accidentally bites down on it sometimes and causes it to bleed. It's not a substantial amount of blood, but that doesn't seem healthy.

What's up with my cat's chin? My cat has a strange spot on his chin that looks sort of like a wart, and I'm not sure whether I should be concerned about it or not.

What's the bets method for getting rid of rats in a house that has a cat and small kids? Obviously snap traps are out of the question, as ius posion and probably glue, but are tunnel like electrical traps safe? How effective are the humane traps? (I do not, TBH, care that much about about being humane to rodents, but safety is a concern)

I have an older cat who has become a total bastard when it comes to the kitchen. He is constantly on the counter. I run him off and when I leave the kitchen he is back up on the counter almost immediately. He'll eat meat cooking in a frickin' frying pan. Any solutions other than constantly squirting him with water or putting him in a crate while cooking? Closing off the kitchen is not an option.

Our cat, who in the previous 6 years has not brought home any animals, has brought home 3 dead rats. Ew! What's up with that? Why now? Should we put a bell on him? Is he fighting off a rat infestation? Should we do anything about it?

Cat is weird. She's constantly sticking out her tongue, like there's something caught in her throat, but she's not choking and is relatively calm otherwise. I noticed it this morning as I was leaving for work and she's still doing it tonight. Is it normal hairballness that will soon work itself out, or should I be worried?
