Frito Feet and Stanky Pet Pits: A Cornish Rex Conundrum

I need advice from short hair cat breeds. I have a lovely Cornish Rex, Louise, who is white (and pink where her skin shows through). She gets dirty quickly, and I don't want to bathe her too frequently, because a) she doesn't like it, b) even though I towel her off, her little short curls and damp fur make her miserable and cold, and she's afraid of the hairdryer, and c) I don't want to dry her skin out, because it's so exposed... see inside for more fun Cornish Rex Facts!!! Should I get a cat if I want to keep living in San Francisco?

My therapist suggested that I get an emotional support cat. I super want a cat, miss living with cats, my housemates think it's a good idea and are happy about a cat living with us. Coaxing a cat with a sore mouth to eat?

So this was me, but unfortunately I don't think I will have to worry about his long term companion. My surviving cat was *also* diagnosed with a different cancer. His was operable, and the healing process is okay, but he doesn't want to eat. I have 48 hours to get him eating normally before we go to a feeding tube. You are not my vet. My vet sees him so often he is officially sick of both of us, but maybe you have been successful in a similar case? Details inside. [more inside]

Vet care for a cat after fight

My cat just got into a fight with a neighbor's cat. I broke up the fight, but my cat was spooked and wouldn't come to me, so I haven't had a chance to look her over. I am guessing she will need to go to the vet to get any bites/scratches attended to. How long after being scratched/bitten can I wait to go into the vet? It is getting later in the day, my regular vet is closing soon, and I may have to wait until morning to see them. Can I wait (providing it is minor injuries), or should I find an emergency vet?

Discouraging cat from pissing on sofa

Our lovely little cat-beast has taken to pissing on our sofa basically every morning, no matter how much we try to stop him, no matter how clean the litter box. We're using Febreeze to try and get rid of the smell, but we worry that a certain aroma remains, and that's what makes him go back there. Is there some strong-smelling but nontoxic-to-cats substance we could put on the sofa to make it appear less like a giant soft litter box?

Bleach Everywhere; Worried About Fetus, Cat, Plants

possible kitten ringworm

I adopted a 10 week old kitten from the aspca on 10/31. He went for a booster shot today and the vet said he might have a touch of ringworm. One of his toes lost a little fur.
