Somebody has decided to remove most of my door handle in an attempt to get into my car, or in a fit of rage, or something. Will getting it repaired through my insurance make my rates go up? Should I try and fix it myself?

Two of my neighbors have had objects stolen from their Toyotas (three cars in total), with no signs of a break-in and no alarm going off. Aside from the obvious "perhaps someone has a copy of the keys", any suggestions as to how they're doing it?

My car was broken into, but nothing of value was stolen. Any benefit
in calling the police? Or should I just fix the window and move on?

My apartment was broken into last week and the thieves stole my car keys (among other things). Curiously, they didn't steal my car out of the driveway on their way out, but I'm worried they might come back. I've got the Club protecting the car as best it can for now, but what else do I have to worry about?

So my car was stolen last night from outside of my work. The police are confident that -- considering the age, make and condition -- it will turn up in anywhere from a few days to a week.

Help me secure my car: For the seventh time in two years, I'm buying replacement window glass for my car. For the third time in two years, I'm shopping for a new stereo. For the second time in two years, I'm wondering what in the heck petty thieves want with my car registration and insurance forms.

How do I protect my car from thieves? I headed out to work this morning and
was confronted by this. (that would be all four tires and wheels - $750 worth) I have a Clifford alarm system, I always park in highly visible areas, I stay out of "bad areas", there is a police academy 100 yards from where this picture was taken. What do I do to make this never happen again? [more inside]
