I've just about had it with that total P.O.S. known as the EPSON Stylus Photo R300 printer. Not only does it suck expensive ink like a vampire (and will refuse to print in ANY color, including black, even if just one of the color cartridges becomes empty!) but using that dinky CD/DVD tray feeder to print onto is always a hit or miss proposition.

I'm trying to burn a backup that has a ton of files with Japanese names. I'm using Windows XP SP2 and Nero 6.6, and anytime I try to create a DVD with any of the ISO (or UDF) settings it forces the filenames to their short filenames, such as "Docume~1". Anyone know how I can record this?

I'm looking for something but having a tough time - plain cardboard or kraftboard CD and DVD cases - blank for do-it-yourself label-affixing or decorating. I'm looking for something like the "Earthy Chrunchie" on this page, in both a CD and DVD version, but not with any custom printing - just with the blank holder to decorate myself. Any leads for me?

I just received (and installed) the Adobe Creative Suite of software. All of the discs came in a thick DVD-like pack, with the 5 discs held in sort-of staggered holders. Whenever I insert a new disc into either my (internal) DVD drive or my (USB external) CD-burner, Windows XP Explorer refuses to refresh itself with information about the new disc: still shows the old disc's name, double-clicking brings up the content of the old disc (or tries to autorun), etc. Only thing that fixes the problem is to reboot with the new disc inserted. Why, and what's the solution?
