Trying to locate a recording of an interview I heard on CBC in the early 90s about paleoscatology. THE most fascinating radio interview I've ever heard. Searches on CBC sites, Google, have turned up nothing.
CBC Radio had a program on an old Quebec library (I think - in Montreal) - that dates from the 1800's and is supposed to be absolutely stunning. Something that people would envision being right out of Harry Potter. Unfortunately - I could not make out the name of the Library - and lot's of googling has come up with nothing. Does anyone here know if the Library in question?

I have a vague memory of some show airing during the early 1980s that I think was sponsored by Robin Hood Flour or maybe King Arthur Flour. I have little to no recollection of what happened on the show (some sort of baking challenge for kids maybe?) but I know that I would watch it around lunchtime when I had half-days of kindergarten. It could have been either a PBS or CBC show as we got CKWS out of Kingston, Ont. in my village in Upstate NY. Robin Hood Flour sounds right, so I'm leaning toward it being a Canadian show. Does this ring any bells with anyone?

Anyone ever hear a hilarious radio special on the CBC called "Not the History of Rock and Roll"? There were two of these produced. I've heard Part 2, it's got really funny impersonations and faux interviews of David Byrne, Michael Jackson, James Brown and others. I'm trying to locate the first part. Anyone have an idea of where to find it?

I'm trying to find a serial radio play that CBC Radio ran around 1985-1989. The show was about a regular guy who is elected prime minister of Canada. His cabinet consist of just a couple people including the minister of defense, an Indian Chief who is in some way associated with a turtle. [more inside]
On phoneswarm.org someone mentions that "...several years ago, one of CBC's main news programs became quite adept at calling pay phones in the midst of the world's current trouble spots and interviewing whoever picked up. Don't know where they managed to get the numbers, but it was unique, raw and on the spot journalism." Does anyone know what program this was, or where I could obtain transcripts or recordings of this?
OK, so I discovered the CBC radio show "The Great Eastern" via MeFi. They had a great site that archived show scripts, full MP3s, offshoot fan projects and many other bits of content that helped create an alternate universe. My question? The site (http://www.schooner.ce.mun.ca:8080/great/) is no longer available and I feel like I've lost a goofball interweb friend. Anyone know what happened? Okay, I'm desperate: I want to listen to the World Cup of Hockey, but my shortwave radio can't pick up the CBC too well, I don't have a television, and I don't feel like spending a bunch of cash in a bar (which I invariably do when I watch hockey in a bar).
