I'm heading to a sf writing workshop in Massachusetts and I was planning on staying with some friends in Boston on Friday night (TOMORROW) on my way there. I was planning on enjoying a day in Boston and hanging out with these friends. Unfortunately, they are sick – pneumonia or something. Uh oh. [more inside]
Where is a good place, in or near Boston, for a early October getaway? [more inside]
I'm going to be in the Boston area on the 29th and 30th of this month, and I'm looking for a bed-and-breakfast type place to stay over that weekend. Small and cheap is preferred, and outside the city - I've been thinking south, near (probably not actually on) the Cape. Does anyone have suggestions, either of particular places or of general areas I should aim for?

Looking for a hotel within walking distance of the Wimberly Theatre in Boston. (Easy public transit shot would work too.) [more inside]
Can anyone recommend a nice, mid-priced hotel in Boston, in the city centre but not hard to get to by public transport from the airport? (Bonus points if I'm still going to be able to book a room for two weeks from now.) [more inside]
Please help with cheapish city accommodation in Boston! [more inside]
We are going to be driving from Boston to Toronto on a Thursday night and Friday with our five kids (ages 3 to 16). We want to stop somewhere half-way to sleep--ideally a hotel that is not too pricey but still decent and has an indoor pool. Perhaps a good breakfast, or just a decent breakfast. Where should we stay? And in general, if you needed to find a hotel en route from A to B, how would you do that (the second question is WAY less important than the first)?
