I need to take an already-printed book and scan it into a format appropriate for e-book publishing on say the Amazon Kindle store and similar. I do not have the original book proofs in digital format. If I simply took the book to Kinko's and had it scanned as images or a PDF, would that be likely to work well or is there a better option? What resolution and format would be best?
