I'm looking for moving/shipping companies to send a couple of boxes of books & clothes from Australia to the USA (as I'm relocating). While requesting quotes, one company strongly suggested that I hire them to
pack my things for me as apparently US Customs get suspicious if the boxes were packed by the individual mover (me, in this case) rather than by a professional. I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else and the US Customs website hasn't addressed this. What's going on?

There's a New Years gig in Manchester I'm looking at attending, and I thought I'd make a trip of it by visiting my sister in Bristol (amongst other things). However, flights from Australia to England are ridiculously expensive. Is there a way I could fly to another European country and take a cheap flight (or some other form of transport) over?

I'm trying to keep track of cheap tickets for a dream international flight in end July 2011. However, almost all the sites I looked at say I'm searching way too early and have no information for me. When is the best time to look, and are there any websites that will email me with details once a good price or deal shows up? (I vaguely remember hearing of such a thing but can't remember the URL)

In Australia, to be a chiropractic you need to study
formal chiropractic degrees (Bachelors and Masters at least) and do years of pracs that are pretty similar to other medical courses. Chiropractic is also recognised as a Skilled Profession under Australian immigration, and are generally considered amongst the same league as physiotherapy and other musculo-skeletal therapists. However, in the US and the UK, chiropractics are often considered quacks and charlatans. Why the huge discrepancies?
