Is there a brand of low dose aspirin that doesn't contain the mix of crap they put in the main brands like Corn Starch, FD&C Yellow 5 Aluminum Lake, Flavor, Mannitol, Saccharin, Silicon Dioxide, etc?

I am a 25-year-old male. During a recent routine physical, my doctor discovered a heart murmur. Subsequent echocardiograms led to a diagnosis of patent foramen ovale (PFO). I have a history of migraines with aura, so it's kind of nice to know that this may be related.
Anyway, my doctor said that I should immediately start a baby aspirin regimen to decrease my risk of a stroke. I also have a history of GI problems (IBS symptoms as a kid, occasional bleeding in the stool and other unpleasant things) and am therefore a little apprehensive about beginning the regimen.
YANMD, but what do you guys think about whether the stroke risk for a 25-year-old male outweighs the GI risks associated with aspirin?

Is there some (legal?) reason why I can't seem to find individually-packaged OTC medications in Canada (eg. acetaminophen, ibuprofen, aspirin...)? What are some alternative ways to package small amounts of meds for a backpacking first aid kit?

I understand that doctors recommend a prophylactic dose of 81 mg of aspirin daily for alot of adults because 81 mg is the amount in a baby aspirin.
But WHY is that the amount in baby aspirin? Why not 80mg, or 85mg? That one milligram can't be too crucial. Can it?

I am suffering from episodes of the worst pain I have ever felt, linked to a post-root canal-ed tooth that has broken. Why does aspirin or Advil only seem to provide relief in conjuction with consumption of chicken soup? Not any liquid; not any hot liquid, but chicken soup?
