This newspaper article is about me. Basically, I have I PTSD and struggle with depression. I am looking for a good therapist in Richmond, Virginia. I've tried a number of them, but have never found a good match. It occurs to me that someone here might know someone, so I thought I'd ask. I found
one recommendation from 2009, but would like to find more. Thanks in advance...

Does anyone know where to download any of these Chinese sensationalist pseudo-documentaries made of 9/11 that mix real news footage with clips from blockbuster films? They freely mix fact and fiction, using news footage and illegal clips from Hollywood films. There were three made, with the titles: 1) "The Century's Greatest Catastrophe" (I've also seen it called The Century's Great Catastrophe") and 2) "Surprise Attack on America" and 3) "America's Disaster: The Pearl Harbor of the Twenty-First Century"--all made in 2001. There is a report on them in an article that was in the
New Yorker. Also mention of them made
here. Since they are illegal mash-ups of existing source material, I don't mind if I have to download them from 'questionable' sites. But I'd really like to consult these films for a study I am writing, and would appreciate any pointers as to where to find them.

I remember the relief of hearing Sage Francis'
Makeshift Patriot for the first time in October of 2001. It was the first song that voiced my fear of possible repression in the US. I thought there would be a wave of left-wing protest songs, but it seemed to be more of a trickle. In August of 2002 Sleater-Kinney asked in
Combat Rock where the protest songs were. My question is the same as theirs: What songs protesting government reaction to 9/11 came out after the event itself and before its 1st anniversary? I am specifically looking for protest songs by American musicians.

Author name please. Read about him recently via the Zite Ipad app but have forgotten his surname. First name Alex, he won a book deal for his first novel and looked poised to be a literary star until the events of 9/11 robbed his contemporaneous book launch of all impact.
He's subsequently written another novel and I think also a short story collection. He teaches somewhere ;-)

Watching a JFK assassination documentary on cable has gotten me thinking. Given the extreme state of the Cold War in 1963 and Lee Harvey Oswald having lived in the Soviet Union and being connected to Communism, was there any kneejerk reaction among the American public/political hawks calling for direct retribution against the Soviet Union? Or efforts to sell the assassination to the public as a reason to do so. How did that national tragedy differ from/align with 9/11 in that respect?

I am a journalist trying to find a way to locate people who were
passersby at 9/11. Not first responders, mind you, or folks who escaped from the towers -- just people who happened to be around when it happened. And despite their non-direct involvement, may have been in some way affected. Thoughts?

A friend of mine, who is highly educated (married with two kids, accomplished medical researcher), is absolutely convinced that September 11 was a huge conspiracy initiated by members of the US government. She has a detailed complex explanation for everything. She takes it deeply personally when I scoff at her, telling me I should read the evidence before forming an opinion. I see her as gullible and she sees me as ignorant. Is there an analysis available comprehensively somewhere addressing the conspiracy theorists to the satisfaction of the leading academics in the relevant areas (material engineering, aerodynamics, media relations, architecture etc)? How do you deal with people like this?

9-11 Technology Filter: I have never been able to even get signal on my Blackberry 8200 (GSM) within 10 seconds of liftoff, so how were cell phone calls completed from hijacked planes on 9-11? Specifically, given the prevailing handset, carrier, and tower technologies present in the Boston, NY, and DC metro and intervening areas at the time, and given the flight paths and altitudes of the hijacked planes, how were passengers able to complete cellphone calls to loved ones?

Within a year of 9-11, I heard a song on the radio that I'm trying to track down. It was a male singer, and the refrain went something like, "they were going up while we were going down" (referring to the firemen). Does anyone have any idea who recorded it and what the song title is?
