When and why did pitch invasions/court-storming/rushing the field end in professional, american sports? I see highlights in the 70s from Hank Aaron's 715, Yankees winning their division, even the Celtics winning an NBA championship in the early 80s where the fans celebrate with the players (or try to take hats off of their heads).
In my sports lifetime,(post 1992), I cannot recall a single moment of this happening in pro sports (in America).

Who was the French accessories designer or other sort of fashion insider known for sporting mickey mouse ears back in the 80s or 90s? She was a rather kooky character and I believe she was a muse or friend of Karl Lagerfeld. I've googled and googled and have been stumped. Bonus points if you can find a vintage photo.

I remember watching a short cartoon (which was probably an interstitial cartoon between shows). I want to say it appeared on the Showtime network.
It had a red 'squiggle'.. basically an upside down 'V' as legs as the protagonist.
I believe part of it was in a castle.
It's been ~30 years since I've seen this (and I was a little tyke at the time) but I remember enjoying it greatly.
I don't remember the plot, but I get the general impression that it was not of US origin... And if I had to guess, I'd say European/French was probably it's provenance. (Although I can't say for certain whether that's just me misremembering bits of it)

Musical question: back in the 80s I heard a cover of Al Green's Rhymes. It was a snarkier, Gen Xy, punkish version. Very distinctive vocals, kind of raspy and whiny. I don't remember the music behind it much which makes me think it was minimalistic. I want to say the singer's name was Chris something? Who did this version? I have faith some mefite well versed in obscure music will come to my aid. Thanks!

Does anyone know where my sister could get an mp3 of a cover version of "Lean on Me" from "The California Raisins Sing the Hit Songs" (1987). We had it on a tape as kids and she's making a nostalgia CD.
Can't find it in itunes or amazon... Local libraries don't have it, CD is expensive. I tried a bit of filetype:mp3 searching and didn't turn up much...

Please help me find out the name of this song and who performed it. I'm pretty sure it was 1985 when I heard this song on the radio. It was kind of an oddball novelty song that used a lot of sounds like ticking and ringing clocks. [more inside]

I'm attending a friend's birthday party who was born in 1986, hence the party's theme. I'm female, but I've only been able to think of a lot of male costumes that don't get me anywhere (karate kid, tom cruise in top gun, etc). The costume has to be someone/something specific from that year. Help me think of a female costume (preferably quickly since the party is .. tonight)!

Looking for books about the history of HIV/AIDS in North America. Wanting both clinical/ epidemiology and social narratives. Also, would love anything that touches on stage performers and the affect it had on creative fields during the 80s.

Is there a good online repository for technology geek ephemera from the 80s? I'm thinking of a teenage kid in his 80s bedroom holding a soldering iron, working on a hobby project next to his C64. Would love to see imagery, video, back issues of magazines, whatever.

Is anyone familiar with an Easter puppet special that was on (I think) HBO in the early '80s? I remember that it involved a bunch of bunnies working in an Easter egg factory, and that the Easter Bunny ("E.B.") was fairly nervous and might've had a Woody Allen-esque delivery. It definitely isn't "Tale Of The Bunny Picnic" (though that looks pretty cute, too).
Bonus points if there's a streaming version anywhere online - I'd love to show this special to my bunny-obsessed niece. Thanks, all.
