Are there examples besides
aTilt of apps that render a 3d box apparently below the screen surface, adjusting its geometry according to the handset location relative to the eye?

I'm looking for a decent pair of 3d anaglyph glasses, mostly to look at Mars pictures like
this. Ideally, a pair that work over prescription glasses and better than the paper ones. Amazon has plenty but the reviews are all over the map. Looking for personal recommendations.

I've tried yet again to tackle learning Blender, and yet again, I'm stuck on what should be a basic simple thing. Adding a material to an object. Can someone get me unstuck?

Where can I find good quality stamped or molded _3D_ reproductions of zodiac signs (the fish, goat, scales, etc - not the written characters) of a "classical" appearance, between 1" and 2" diameter? I found several places selling a zodiac candy mold, which might work, but I'm not sure I like the style of the images. I'm wanting to use whatever I find as a pattern for sand-casting metal to make adornments for a big armillary sphere I'm building for my garden, so it doesn't really matter what they're made out of. Tin, plastic, wood, paper - whatever. If they're too flimsy I can make castings of them and use those as patterns. Suggestions would be appreciated. :-)

Why did all the supposed-to-be-massive sets in Immortals 3D look tiny? Did it have something to do with the fact that it's a 3D conversion? It was like the whole thing was shot in tilt-shift.

Hello,
I am looking for ideas about what would be a good name for following electronic product/video converter box (in nutshell) :-
It is a small box which converts regular 2D video into 3D video and using the HDMI port on this box, this 3D video can be watched on a regular LCD TV while wearing Red-Blue glasses.
The product name should be small (2 words or so), pithy, not necessarily technical jargonry, and telling about its functionality in its name (if possible).
thanks,
-GM.

Do you know an online resource where I can look at a 3D model of either a face or a body that I can rotate at all angles and maybe even zoom in so I can use it as reference for my art etc?

I thought I knew how the current crop of 3D glasses worked, but an experiment with my glasses and my laptop screen proved that something weird is going on. Why does the direction I'm looking through the glasses change what I see, and why do the polarising filters appear to be oriented the same way?

Is there any good open source or free Photogrammetry software? I'd like to take a few photographs (two or more) of small areas (small forested park lands) with a calibration/reference object in the frame (if need be) and extract points and lines from the images.

Hey all. Similar questions to this have been asked, but I think my formulation is unique.
I am trying to model some stone walls for architectural models. I need the stone texture to show up in 3D so it will print on a 3D printer. I am not sure what the best 3D software to use for this application.

I'm looking for an easy-to-use, lightweight application that will allow me to visualize a wooden structure I want to build. I know about CAD software like AutoCAD and modelling apps like 3dsMax, but they seem way more complicated than what I'm looking for. Sketchup seems to fit the bill pretty well, but it's hideous to look at and I can't seem to get exact measurements out of it. Any alternatives to sketchup out there? (free preferably but not required)
Thanks
