Generating XML documents help? I work with the county health department, and have been asked to come up with a way to create, store and manipulate metadata for various datasets we store internally on a network drive. Basically I think the simplest thing to do is to create an xml file stored in the same directory with any dataset. Preferably I can do this with infopath 2003 or free software, and using the Dublin Core standard for metadata. I've seen the 5 year old answers on Dublin Core Metadata from this Ask, but I need to let my coworkers create the data first, and that mostly covers storage/database solutions. Looking through various DC list archives hasn't been helpful. [more inside]

I have an HP iPAQ 2750. Around the same time it was manufactured, lots of aftermarket hardware and software came out with promises to enhance the device. One of those applications was a GPRS/GSM plug in modem (via the CF Card slot) and software from a company called Enfora. The modem was bundled with software from a company called BVRP. There was other software without a modem which also installed phone tools on the PDA from another company called WebToGo. [more inside]

I do PowerPoint design for a living and -- finally, begrudgingly -- I am switching to PowerPoint 2007. So far, do not like. So, a two-part question: 1. Can anyone suggest a text or video tutorial on moving to PowerPoint 2007 for 2003 power users? 2. I've seen some "make PowerPoint 2007 work like PowerPoint 2003" add-ins. Does anyone have experience/recommendations for any of those? Thanks!

WindowsAdminFilter - I've got a small, single controller Active Directory domain comprised entirely of Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition boxes. I want to setup a Windows 2003 server using my dynamic IP address that I have from Comcast. How can I make this happen? I have a linksys Gateway (WCG200) that has the server and a few other computers connected to it. I am trying to setup a small server for my printing/web hosting/file sharing/remote access needs. I need to see how to setup my DNS & DHCP settings for this to happen. Also I have my own domain name which I would like to use. Can I use programs from companies like no-ip.com to setup my web site so if anyone types my registered domain it will find my site? Remember that I will be using a dynamic address. Or the last straw is to get a static IP address. Where can I do so(for the cheapest price)?

I need to allow a few people to access our mail server using Outlook from outside the building. They use OWA yet do not like having to use a web page to do this (yeah, I know...). I thought of setting up POP3 but am not sure what ports I need to open on the firewall (110, 25 do not seem to cut it). What is the functional difference between POP3 and IMAP and is either one better/easier to setup? (File folder sharing would be an optional objective). Microsoft's KB system sucks...any other useful articles out there?
