I have .PST files created via Outlook (Win) 2003 that I need to look into. However, I have Outlook (Win) 2000 on this computer, and it can't read a newer version (thanks, Redmond). Is there some other way to open these?

One of my PCs running Windows 2000 Professional has been a stable workhorse for several years. However, beginning a few days ago, it has not been booting properly - it heads to the CMOS/BIOS set up menu after the memory test rather than log in. [more inside]

I have a legal copy of Windows 2000. I am buying a new computer. I don't want to spend 100+ bucks on Windows XP. Is there any compelling reason to upgrade? Anything XP can do that 2000 can't?
