I've got my nose buried in Bonfire of the Vanities and Ladies and Gentlemen, the Bronx is Burning. What books should I read next? What are the must-reads from or about this era of New York City?

Looking for the name of a toy I had in the 1970s that had 2 long ropes with handles on both ends, one person would pull their ropes apart and send a football shaped ball with the ropes running through it flying towards the other person. The ball on ours was red, the handles were blue - but who knows, it may have come in different colors. My sister swears it was called the Woosh, but I haven't found it via that name. I want to buy one for my niece & nephew if I can find it - and I think having the name will be the key to locating one. But if you know where I can get one, even better.

Seeking mid 1960s to mid 1970s Canadian TV filler short clip. It was an orchestra of teddy bears (and possibly other teddy-like stuffed toys) playing Mozart's Turkish March. Not drawn, but 'live action' real teddies. [more inside]
