Which WSAVA-approved dog kibble to feed next?

I really liked the sensitive digestion kibble from Purina ProPlan, but I’ve bought two bags of bug-infested food now - it’s been extremely stressful dealing with this and I don’t know if it’s worth the hassle. I’d like to make a switch to a similarly WSAVA-approved dog kibble brand, but would like your input on the different brands/type of food that are listed as WSAVA-approved. [more inside]

Positive tips for raising cockapoo siblings

We have two adorable cockapoo sibling pups who are now 12 weeks old. They are not our first dogs so we understand the basics of good training. But, after we got them, I became aware of 'littermate syndrome' and obviously want to avoid this. It's not an issue so far. Our main concern is any future aggression developing. We're starting to follow the general advice about giving them independent time for play, rest, training and exercise. To add to this, I'd welcome your specific, positive tips from personal experience.

Sudden corgi acquisition

I am about to meet a 7-year old corgi rescued from a breeding farm, at the fantastic shelter where I got my very chill street dog who is now 12. We are doing a week foster-to-adopt and I want to get off to a great start but I’ve never had a corgi or brought in a second adult dog (they’ve been youngish). We have five cats who like our dog and a very pet-proofed house. Advice!

Village cat adopted me, should we spend noisy NYE somewhere else?

A friend offered their house. What'd be less annoying to kitty: freedom of movement on her home turf (there is no escape from the noise though), or being whisked away and having to spend the night with newly adopted human of 2-3 months, in a quiet but strange new house? [more inside]

I accidentally left out a roasted turkey leg on my kitchen counter and my dog ate the whole thing overnight (skin, fat, bone, ligaments) around 2am. I was awoken by the sound of her crunching the bones. [more inside]

Felis Non Grata

My cat has had the other 2 cats in our household turn on him. Every method for reintegration I've tried has failed. Kitty is now so needy and clingly I can't work from home as usual, so I'm back to the drawing board and looking for new ideas to get this cat family reunited. [more inside]

Are my dogs depressed?

I'm concerned about my Golden Retrievers. I have a 9-year-old boy (Bear), and a girl (Abbey) who's almost two. I've spent a lot of time learning about canine body language and facial expressions, and I feel like both dogs are usually sad when indoors. However, the key word here is "feel" - obviously, my read of their emotions is affected by my own mood, and I'm currently diagnosed as severely depressed. I'd like some objective opinions on whether my dogs are okay, plus (ideally) ways to help them if they aren't. [more inside]

Help me to not be a weirdo about having drop-in pet sitter

As it turns out, our cats are not big fans of being boarded at the vet. We’re thinking of hiring a pet sitter through Rover for our next trip away. We want them to do a short drop-in visit daily to clean the cat box, give the wet food and check up on them while we are gone for a few days. I’ve never done this before and I’m nervous.
