How do I make an angry martini?

Anyone know how to mix a cocktail called an "angry martini"? I ran across the reference in a movie, googled it, found more references but no recipes, checked DrinkBoy and Webtender, no luck.

I saw it mentioned at the very end of The Exorcism of Emily Rose just this weekend. No clue what it is though.

Alton Brown said what it is the other day on Good Eats on the Food Network, but now I can't remember. According to the FN website, the episode is repeating this Friday at 7 pm.

I'm guessing it's something with to do with hot sauce. A dirty martini has olive juice in it....perhaps an angry martini has a drop or two of tabasco?

Was it a black olive instead of a green one?

Or you could make it with pepper vodka, which you can buy or make yourself.

Yes! I'm pretty sure that's right.

Response by poster: The Exorcism of Emily Rose was the movie. Too bad I'll be at work when Good Eats is on. I like that show.

I just watched the Alton Brown episode last night and he did not make reference to an Angry Martini. He discussed the Smoky Martini, the Dirty Martini, and the Gibson, in addition to the standard gin martini. The one with the black olive had another single-word name that did not contain the word "Martini", but since I hate black olives I did not register what that name was.

In my Playboy Bartender's Guide, there is a recipe for a Martini with a black olive, called the Diablo. Unfortunately, I don't have the book here and can't remember the details, except for the olive and that the recipe sounded scary and gross. I can post it tonight when I get home if anyone is interested.

Diablo is Spanish for "devil". I'd avoid it.
