Utah ski vacation - where to go? What's the best value?

I'm looking for recomendations for on-mountain lodging at a Salt Lake City area ski resort. I've stayed at the Snowpine lodge at Alta in the past, but it's a bit expensive. the current rates at the Snowpine for a small room w/queen sized bed and private bathroom, breakfast and dinner included, is $193 per person, per night.

Are there better deals to be had at Alta or Snowbird than the Snowpine? Where else can I stay that is: a) accessible from the SLC airport; b) relatively inexpensive; c) ski-in, ski-out.

The Canyons. Fantastic upper bowls. Pretty cheap. As I remember they have ski in ski out, but check to be sure.

I have always had really good luck on last minute bargains at both Alta and Solitude...with just a quick scan the rates at the Peruvian (Alta) seem to be slightly better than Snowpine but it may depend on the days you are trying to ski. You can occasionally find slope-side condo offerings with lift ticket and or meal deals at both places. I'm not sure you are going to do materially better than the Snowpine/Peruvian rates without giving on amenities. I have stayed in the dorm roooms at tht Gold Miners Daughter...but that was many years ago when all I was looking for was a place to stash my stuff and pass out after a hard day of skiing and a hard night of drinking.
