Open Links in full windows...

Recently my PC has started opening links in smaller (25% of the screen) windows which I have to drag larger. Anyone know how to get it back to opening in full screen windows? I have WinXP and IE6....

if i remember correctly, you can set the screen size of your windows by dragging it to the desired size and holding ctrl as you close the window.

Should do that by default I think. Done a spyware scan?

It will remember the size of the last window closed. Close all but 1 IE window. Size it. Close. You may need to reboot to make sure it's registered correctly.

Best answer: Open a new window.

Open a second new window.

Close the first window.

Drag the second window to the desired size.

Close that window.

Open a new window - should be the same size as the dragged-out second window now.

Smart-ass answer - use Firefox.
Helpful answer - use IE maximizer (http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0,fid,22832,00.asp)

theora55 has it. Just resize the window and then close it. It should remember the size of the last window you closed.

I have had more luck with this simpler approach: Open IE. Make the window the size you want it. Then, close IE using the menus (File, Close). This works everytime. The key is to avoid using the X to close the window.

Ah yes, I remember doing this back when I used IE. What a pain.
