Boilerplate legal documents for IT contractors?

I naively thought that an informal IT contracting agreement with a prior employer would work out fine. Now I realize that was a terrible idea. Are there any sites or books out there that give stock legal agreements to present to employers setting terms of payment, requirements for completion, etc?

nolo press does these sorts of things. you can also buy various do-it-yourself legal kits at office max and like stores.

i have no personal experience with the products.
