I recently bought “
Google Maps Applications with PHP and AJAX” and am already having a problem with the first chapter. Going over KML files and how they can be used to mark certain areas on a Google Map, the book gives an example of multiple points in Toronto. I followed the same example to try and mark a point in Yokosuka, Japan. When I view the Toronto example, it works fine. When I try my Yokosuka example, it just displays a point marker on a blank grey background; the map never loads.

My OB has put me on "light activity" due to IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction) and a shortened ("funneling") cervix. He specifically said: No strenuous activity. No heavy lifting. I can go places as long as I drive and do not walk. I should stay off my feet as much as possible, and sit with my feet up. I should not take walks. He says this is "almost bedrest, but not quite". This all seemed self-explanatory when I was at the office, but now I'm not exactly sure what I need to be doing.

Due to several simultaneous personal disasters (romantic, financial, social, professional), I need to deal with my (long-standing) anxiety problems right away. Please help me find the resource I need -- I live in Somerville MA (near the red line, but have no car), would prefer free or a sliding scale, and would like to be prescribed medication. I'm not sure what assistance I might qualify for, I make ~$35K. Its very difficult for me to get time off of work, so I'd prefer to be seen on a weekend or after 5:30 on a weekday. I also have a ton of fear about the idea of seeing a therapist in the first place. GLBT resources would be appropriate, but not required. This seems impossible. Thanks for any advice.

However, a couple years ago my

similar to this). I cannot access it.
I have several years worth of posts that are stuck in a database that I can't get to. I've been gradually moving these by hand to my existing MT install, but that's a pain in the ass. Is there some automated way to crawl/scrape the existing HTML files in order to retrieve these "lost" entries? Some way to break back into a corrupt MT database? Some way to repair it? (The install is BerkelyDB-based.)

What I mean is, the photo is, well, photorealistic. Cars on shirts are usually sort of cartoony. Though I don't want to mess with the dimensions of the car and make it squished and bouncy looking. I just need the car to be less colors, or outlined, or ... something. I can't even really describe what I mean. Take a look at these images of T-shirts.

I recently noticed what appears to be a slightly swollen (pea-sized) lymph node on the left side of my neck, about halfway up the neck. I first noticed it about 5 days ago. I can feel another node next to it, but on the right side of my neck, I can feel only one node in the same place. I don't have any other symptoms that might suggest lymphoma (itching, fever, night sweats, fatigue, weight loss). The swollen node does not feel hard or fixed, and it hasn't changed size. Is there cause for concern? I do have a blemish that I've sort of been picking at on the left side of my neck, so could that be the cause of the swollen node? I guess it's possible that this node has always been there but I haven't noticed it before. I do have hypochondriac tendencies. I'm 26 and had mono about four years ago.

I tend to sweat a lot on hot days and occasionally this ends up ruining nice shirts with pit stains. I've read plenty of threads about deodorants and anti-perspirants that could be helpful, but maybe I should address my long armpit hair. I can see both sides: More hair means more surface area for deodorant and keeps sweat from running (I think). Less hair means less surface area for sweat to stick onto but gets the deodorant closer to the pores. What's the way to go? I'm not considering shaving my pits, but more or less trimming them down short.

It worked fine then i turned it off. Now the login / PW no longer work. I strongly suspect the problem is the keyboard has toggled to the Japanese character entry mode, while the login / PW is in English characters. And so I am locked out unless I can figure out how to toggle the keyboard back to English. Please view this high res image of the keyboard ( http://bayimg.com/hacgmaABI )and see if you can tell which Japanese character keys or key combination might toggle the keyboard between the two character sets. (snip) for nobody but yourself" It's a lady singing, very catty, chacha beat. Link to a snippet of the song is inside, if anyone could provide me artist/title/album or any of the above that would be fantastic! Thanks for considering it!

After only living in tiny apartments, I'm moving to a two story house, but I'm an utter newbie about household networking. Here's the main dilemma:
Upstairs, in my office, my Macbook Pro will power an external monitor and keyboard. That's where I'll do most of my work.
Downstairs, I intend to buy a 52" HD monitor to watch DVDs. I'd like the option to sometimes work down there....with the upstairs computer driving the downstairs monitor, and using a cordless keyboard that talks to the upstairs computer.
Note: I won't ever need to drive monitors simultaneously.
Is there any way to do this? Or do I need to buy a downstairs computer, and network the computers so both HD's are kept dynamically in synch (e.g. via Leopard's "Time Machine")? That'd be more expensive, though I could probably get away with using a pretty old/crappy computer downstairs (so long as its HD is at least as large as the one upstairs so they can synch properly, and so long as it has enough video ram to drive the large monitor).

Hi there, I am doing an honours project on the effects of boat noise on dolphin communication and my supervisor had this idea of using compression to analyse this.
He basically suggested that we record dolphin vocalizations in the presence and absence of boat noise, and then compress the files and determine which compresses more (dolphin sounds with the boat noise, or dolphin sounds without the boat noise). His thinking was that less complex sounds should compress less...so he thinks that boat noise will compress less than dolphin vocalizations. Thus, if dolphin vocalizations happen to compress more in the presence of boat noise than they do without the boat noise...this would sort of imply they are "losing information" so to speak. Does this make sense?

I've had this recurring armpit rash for several months now. At first I thought it was brought on by chafing (I do manual labor for a living). Then other members of my family started getting it (I could have got it from them). We've tried different types of bath soap and deodorant. I've just now switched away from different versions of the crystal deodorant stone. (I used the actual stone for about 15 years with no problems. I recently tried two different liquid versions). My wife thought it was a yeast infection that we're all passing around via the bath soap. I tried doing some googling and was overwhelmed at the plethora of different explanations that came up. Thought I'd give it a shot here. It's painful if it progresses too far. I've been keeping it in check with hydrocortisone cream.

Is an implant a solution to the terrible removeable bridge I just got? It's my front tooth and the tooth next to it. I hate the bridge, it hurts, I can't eat, what I do eat I can't taste, I can't talk--it sounds like I'm drunk I slur so much and all around I'm very unhappy. This removeable bridge replaces a failed fixed bridge. The root canal on the front tooth went bad and the fixed bridge to which it was attached failed and couldn't be repaired. I'm very unhappy with the new (temporary) bridge and wonder if I can get an implant instead of going ahead with permanent removeable bridge.
Anyone have a similar experience or recommendation?

I had a problem recently with my school's network shutting down my dormitory Ethernet port because of some suspicious activity originating from my computer, a MacBook Pro. It occurred when I was not at my computer at all (and it was in a location secure from any other in-person manipulation). I vaguely recall that there exists a program on Mac OS X that records, and asks for confirmation for, every application that tries to send data out over the Internet. Anyone ever see such a thing?

Last Kiss, originally written by Wayne Cochran and later sung by
Pearl Jam, but they aren't all that close. Some of the comments on the YouTube video suggested it was a parody of
Johnny Angel or

Do you know of a publisher that has a somewhat esoteric focus along these lines? Who are they? Fiction or non is fine. It doesn't have to be someone who republishes old books though. If you know a house that has great taste with contemporary authors, go ahead and share. I would also like to hear about small presses that do particularly beautiful editions of good reading books as long as they are reasonably priced (barely breaking a $100). I am tempted to take it to a dry cleaners, but I am scared they will screw it up.

I was just diagnosed with an inguinal hernia, which I've apparently had for almost 2 years now. I know next to nothing about hernias, let alone inguinal hernias, and it looks like it'll be 6-12 weeks before I can get into surgery, and at least 3 weeks before I get a proper consult with the surgeon. I exercise frequently with weight training, cardio, and flexibility training in the gym, and am wondering what if any exercises are safe to continue in the interim, or what exercises definitely need to be avoided. Can I still stay in shape without making this thing worse?

There wasn't a hole in the egg, but rather just the skin of the yolk laying flacid over where one would normally see yellow. Upon further inspection, the yolk was actually "sandwiched" between the two cooked sides (top side and bottom side) of the egg white surrounding the yolk hole. It wasn't a fluke, as I got two eggs like this with my order. What is this type of egg called and how'd they do that?

Is it possible to tell the difference between an old, long-standing injury and a more recent injury to the brain on a brain scan? Would a particular type of brain scan (fMRI as opposed to CAT scan) be better able to reveal the difference between the two? This question would be pertinent to the Peter Braunstein case: earlier in the news coverage, they showed Braunstein's brain scan on television, because the defense claims that the decreased activity shown in the frontal region is consistent with schizophrenia. However, I understand Braunstein hit his head while in custody, and I'm thinking that could cause a similar result on the brain scan. I'm also wondering, could a brain scan show whether he got dropped on his head when he was a baby and/or all three possible conditions and when, approximately, they developed?

I am typing up reports in MSWORD 2003 and need to have it show a future date instead of todays. When I go to print the file it shows the current date no matter what I do. Any changes just revert back to todays. Is there a way to correct this? Surely this is possible?
