Anyone know where I can get whole grain barley bread? Possibly barley bread without wheat flour? Or perhaps a recipe that would allow me to make it myself. posted by exhilaration to food & drink (5 comments total)

A bread baker guy shows up at the farmer's market in my neighborhood every week. He has good, whole grain breads. posted by low affect at 6:16 PM on August 22, 2008
Seriously, if you are seeking a low GI bread, this recipe from Red Mill looks excellent. Alternatively, you could just buy some already baked sprouted barley bread from the excellent Alvarado St. bakery. posted by caddis at 10:51 PM on August 22, 2008
