outlook is sending my meeting planners everywhere but the right place

In Outlook 2003, all my appointments are being put on calendars associated with my *.pst files, instead of the calendar in the main Exchange folder. It's totally screwing up my workdays, as you might guess. Details inside.
First thing to know is that I work out of *.pst files for all incoming and outgoing mail. Everything in & out, except meeting planners, is put by a rule into the current *.pst file for the current quarter. Every quarter I start a new one.
I want all my calendar items to remain in the main exchange folder, because I need to look forward beyond the quarter end for appointments.
HOWEVER, for some unknown reason, at some point in the quarter, calendar requests start getting put on a calendar folder in my currently quarterly folder, and I don't see them, because I'm only looking at the calendar in the Exchange folder.
When I create the quarterly *.pst file, there's not calendar item in it. Somehow at some point it's getting created, and meeting requests get put on it.
How do I get rid of the calendar in this *.pst file?

Why are you using PST files in the first place if you have an Exchange server?

Tools > Account Settings
Somewhere in there you'll see Data Files. Make your exchange account the default. I dont have 2003 in front of me.

Response by poster: I checked, the exchange account already is the default.

Response by poster: And SirStan, I use a new pst each quarter because my exchange account keeps filling up and preventing me from sending new mail. Instead of waiting until it makes me move old messages to a pst folder, I just work exclusively out of pst folders now and Exchange stays off my back about space issues.

Does your "Deliver new mail to this location" specify your Exchange Account?
