Identify this horror movie from two brief memories.

Help me identify this horror movie from my youth.

So, there was movie I once saw when I was a kid in the 80's, and I can only remember one or two scenes from it. I'd love to know what it was, though. Here's what I remember:

* A TV reporter interviewing one or two kids (brother and sister?) about the disappearance/death of some other kids. They feign sadness because they're the ones responsible.

* Hands, lots of hands, pushing and reaching out of a wall.

Help me, MeFi, you're my only hope!

Hands part sounds like "Labyrinth", but that doesn't jive with the TV bit.

The hands from the wall sounds like Day of the Dead, but not sure about a TV reporter.

Hm, no, I don't think it's either of those. My foggy recollection is that the kids being interviewed lured the missing kids to the lair of [something], and then something happened, and the hands were the hands of all the kids they'd brought there. It's very hazy, though, I could be conflating a few things.

Sounds like The People Under the Stairs directed by Wes Craven... Maybe?

There's an infamous scene like this in Repulsion but none of the rest of your description matches

Your description reminds me a bit of The Brood and a bit of Village of the Damned. There are two Village versions, but if you saw it in the eighties and this is the right film, you would have seen the older version.

Are you sure you saw it in the 80s? The People Under the Stairs is from 1991.

House? Or maybe House 2? It's been a long time since I've seen either. There were so many lame, cheezy horror flicks in the '80s, the list could be very long.

Hm, I think it was on TV, and it could've been the early 90s. Definitely not House or House 2; I just saw those recently. I'm going to watch TPUTS on Wednesday and confirm.

Sounds exactly like People Under the Stairs to me.
There is a big scene with the People in the basement sticking their hands out of holes/cracks in the wall.

Update: No, it wasn't People Under the Stairs, though it was quite enjoyable watching it. Any other suggestions?
